G87 M2 new spy pictures - more detailed front
The "China" bumper leaks seem to be accurate. Sadly to say. I'm not a fan.
I had to see it to believe it... https://g80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1844099 |

I'm a G80 owner so take this with a grain of salt but I'm not hating it... loving how wide it is!

As always I'll wait to see the final product unveiled before judging, but this looks promising to me.

ooohhfff.
I too will wait to pass final judgement, but seeing it now, I just not sure. The whole mess below the kidneys looks busy to me. I get the camo is exagerating a place that will eventually be black and not as eye catching. But still. Lots of odd angles, etc. And i am not sure about the hood to fender transition. It seems rather steep and long. I can't place the similarities. Maybe a e60 M5? but with odd, square kidneys? Anyway, I do like the stance. And they will sell tons of them. (Puts on flame suite) I wish they would come with the new Mxdrive.... josh |

This could be the last ICE driver's car, lets be a bit more upbeat since the grill is sort of normal. |

Well at least it still has fenders. It would be hilarious if the base model had less power than the outgoing model and weighed like 300+ more pounds! This thing is only supposed to have around 400 HP? That's weak. My guess is 415 with power that goes flat from 5k to 7.2k.

I'm starting to like the new front, especially seeing it now with less camo. It looks really wide and aggressive. I've started to view the older sharp angles of the lower bumper on older models as getting a bit long in the tooth. It's time for a change, so long as it's done right. You can even see a splitter in the pics.
I'm surprised it has a power dome, thought for sure it was going to get the double hood scoops like the G80/2 to differentiate it from the G42. The only let down I see is it looks like it gets the same wimpy taillights that the G42 has. IMO they are too small in horizontal length for the G42 which is already a decently wide car. They will look even more pathetic on the G87. |

its reasonable to assume the CSL, if it has big power, will be automatic. The manual M2 won't have more power than the manual M3/M4, just cause BMW will not develop a new manual gearbox.

New grille/front
Me, either, but still better than the G80/82 schnoz.

I've gotta add that I have been hoping for some amazing 50th anniversary M models, but this design direction has me losing interest fast.
