Anyone have the inside line on the HS manual just listed? Judging by the km I reckon it’s the press car.

The CS, as GREAT of a car as it is, is horribly overpriced on the used market. These cars were selling at the sticker price rather well (before the G8x M was released) but it never sold like the OG M2 did in 2015/2016.

Those cars were marked up back then 5-10k and were very hard to find from what I remember. The CS sold well but it's not like you couldn't find one at sticker when it came out if you really wanted it.

For me, at 80-90k, I'm getting a xDrive M3 but at that price I think it's still a decent buy. With the new M2 coming out it would be hard to me to personally buy the CS at a more expensive price than a newer M2 would be.

This would have to be for die hard fans of the F87 or collectors, or someone who has the money and doesn't mind spending it. The CS would be a very fun car to have in the garage

Have you checked the price of the M240i lately? I think when the G87 M2 hits the market, it'll be almost as much as the F87 CS (in Australia at least anyway)

@MadBimmeRad

I've seen M240i's going for sticker around Los Angeles, maybe 3-5k over but only at certain dealerships. In USD that's 50-55k. I believe the last gen M240i was selling for about the same price which is why I've always been shocked people bought those over the M2 at 53-60k USD.

I'm not sure how the market works over there but this is how it's been around this part of town. Lease prices are fixed here, essentially forcing anyone who wants the M2 to buy it rather than lease, and anyone who wants to lease ends up going with the M240i for cost reasons.

The M240i starts at 45k USD and can be spec'd up to 55k. I would assume the M2 in manual will start at 53-58k and the auto will be around 63-65k in comp form.

I hope for all that's good in this world that we get the M2 in xDrive and if we're beyond lucky, they throw in the carbon seats as well. It's time to break out of the "M2 is the little sibling" nonsense and let it be the best M car on the market like it truly is!

In 2020 when I bought the CS, the F87 Completion could have been picked up for around AUD$110k on the road.

Now, you have to pay $104k for the 240 - it's insane really but there's getting them out the door

Sure, it's a lot of car but it's not a M2 - at this rate, like I said before, I think the G87C will cost closer to the F87CS

At that rate, I don't care how much better the G87C can be, the F87 CS IS KING

If the M2 CS and M240i are the same price you definitely won big time so props to you!

If the G87CS will be twice the price then I'm not sure if it's worth it then. Here in the states it should be about the same price as the F87CS so if that's the case then that would be enough for me to get that over the F87 (same price for both).

There was a point in time where they had a lease special on the F80CS for the same price as the standard M240i was going for (our normal prices, not yours) and every single car literally got taken in a matter of hours. I'll never understand how or why that happened but damn I wish I got one.

The F87 is a classic car. Regardless of what's better or worse, it'll always have a unique character to it that's worth holding onto. I have a similar feeling about the E90 and E93 M3. It's worse in every statistical category other than sound (subjective but cmon) and yet to me it's a car I'll always want one or two of in my collection. That car along with the F87 will stand the test of time…

I spotted 1 current being on the market at a place (behind a car wash + cafe) at Gladesville, asking 174,990, I'd rather fly to Qld and get the cheapest marked one lol

Even if I want a car like M2 CS, I'd wait until after the federal election and when normalising monetary policy kicks in, bubble to be busted.

Hey, reviving this thread to query if anyone on here has the black/gold that’s just been listed, and if so to find out what exhaust has been ordered..?

Also what’s with all the black ones being for sale?!
