I would just go ahead and buy the X3 and sell your M2 on your own (if the benefit makes sense)
Is it even worth pricing out at other dealerships? Received same crap offer from vroom and carvana.

I would consider doing private sale, would just need to research on it.

They kept mentioning the tax savings too on the trade in, as if it was some huge amount. Anyone who is anyone knows that taxes on other income are not horrendous depending on the figure.
Interesting, I have a 2020 M2C and just got $59.5k offer from Vroom...
Have to include miles or it doesn't really mean anything.

I have a '21 with 24,600 miles. Was offered $57,500 at a dealer. Decided to go with private party sale and see how much I can get.
11k but i am in a specific market that has none of these cars... dct hs exec

Carvana offered $60,199 for my 2020 Competition (5,100 miles, 6MT, executive, moonroof). I’m located just north of San Francisco. I’m sure I could get more from private party, but they made it incredibly easy to sell, so I took the offer. It was a fun couple of years driving this car, but in the end, it just wasn’t the right fit for me at this time in my life. Back to weekend driving the e36 M3 for now!

Has anyone traded in m2 recently, i wonder what you all are getting right now? carvana offered 50k which seems low given that they are still selling for over 60. im considering trading in mine for g80x but I'll probably wait and see what happens with the market, i still love my m2.

Edit: my car is 21 m2c with 10k miles

It looks like they're dipping into the high $50k range now, And trusted sites like CarGurus are now claiming that $58k w/36k miles is priced "$3,005 Above Market". So $50k trade in doesn't surprise me. It'll probably drop into the $40's soon.

If you were going to trade in without losing your shirt, that time seems to have passed.

Carvana is losing its shirt, so their offers are super low at the moment for all cars, just FYI. I got an offer for my Mazda 3 that was 40% higher from CarMax.

Dealership offered me about 51k on my '21 w/20k miles (DCT, exec, no moonroof). They were also selling a 21 M4 with 10k miles for about 4k under MSRP, so I thought this was a little insulting. I was really thre to test drive the M4, so did not push them on hard #s (and having driven the M4comp, I am even more sure that I have the best car BMW has ever made)

Just thought I’d update. Traded mine in June ‘21 and turned out to be probably one of the biggest regrets of my life! Hold on to your M2Cs please! I have a G80 on order now and hope it can fill the gap the M2 left in my heart.

Why not just find a lightly used M2C? I just don’t see the G80 being a good replacement as it’s a totally different tool.

Don’t dealers always go low on the trade in values? They always make you work for it.

Most importantly, I’m glad you resisted actually trading in the M2C. That trade would have been bad no matter how the dollars would’ve shaken out!

The G80 is more suitable to where I’m at in life right now. Still miss the F87 though.

Trading it in was never really a consideration, but I wanted to test drive the new gen M4's so I played along a bit. Couldn't resist giving them the business for asking MSRP for a used M4 with 10k miles, while offering me such lowball for mine.
