We are installing this - https://www.bimmerworld.com/BimmerWo...M3-M4-S55.html - in our street/track M2 this week to help counter the starvation in the high g rights. Also have previously installed a Precision Raceworks stage 3 brushless lpfp upgrade that has helped but not complete solved the issue.

You'll have to share the level of installation difficulty when you're finished.

Will do! He's a master mechanic at a BMW dealership with all the tools so let's see.

Work and travel has made such an impossible task.

One of the items I had pending was the bucket seats. I was incline to order the Recaro Podiums (expensive but they seem amazing). Which seats have you put in? Is the upholstery custom? Do you need to reprogram the car for a faulty code since the stock seats were removed?

Lastly do you have pics of the cage install?

Thank you,

A

Did you ever install your Schirmer cage? If so do you have any pics of how it mounts to the cer?

I got the full Kinematics, Diff set up and brakes from Schirmer, but the cage and rear closed out it is Fall Line which I got from IND-Distribution. I do not have good pictures, here are some of the one I have when I picked up the car. Very happy with the set up, the seats are super comfortable and got them custom match with the interior. Most people believe these are the stock seats which is exactly what I was looking for that OEM+ look.

This is how the M2CS should have come from factory

Very very nice!!!

Does the Kinematics increase NHV a lot? Like would not like it if you had to daily the car?

I’ve heard great things about the magic of their Kinematics

The car feels absolutely incredible, like it's glued to the road. However, I believe its usability greatly depends on your driving habits.

I've installed the Diff Kit, but I wouldn't recommend it for daily driving. The increased noise it generates inside the car can make it rather unpleasant for everyday use. My own car is primarily dedicated to track driving, so occasional drives are manageable for me. However, even after just a day at the track, the constant noise can be quite exhausting during the commute back home.

Regarding the harshness, I've set up my shocks as recommended for GP tracks, which results in a rather stiff front end. Personally, I find it tolerable, but it's worth noting that the lowered car seats can add to the discomfort of daily driving.

If you're a hardcore track enthusiast, you might find the trade-offs worth it. However, if you only hit the track a few times a year and use the car for daily commuting, I'm not entirely convinced that the investment and inconvenience are justified.
