This is how I feel about it, to the extreme. To me the rear of the car sits fine in stock form, and with a 7.5mm spacer (or slightly wider tire, your choice) the gap is fine. All I want is the front match, which takes a damn act of congress. This is the sole reason I bought the M Performance suspension; to even the damn gap, and the reason I went for used instead of new.

The M2, for me, is a fun/civil daily, but after driving the Lotus it feels like every other wish-it-was-a-real-sports-car; lumbering, heavy, uncommunicative, soft, and numb. But I'll be sure to note the differences between the stock suspension and the MPS.

The Ultima RS isn't anything near a Lotus, it's a damn monster. That car has some of the highest performance numbers on the planet. Lotus is more of a driver's car, not a bragging-rights, kill-everything-in-sight car.

Anything that pulls up beside an Ultima RS on the street, or track will have its work cut out for it.

Thank you Visual

1. Yes, I agree, the rear gap is close to right and it is the front that needs to catch up in closing the gap . . . and to same degree as the rear.

2. I do not expect my M2C to perform/handle like my 718 CGTS, but I would welcome it if the MPS coilovers could lighten the feel of the tank even a wee bit. Looking forward to your feedback.

3. I know little about the Exige other than what you share, and zero about the Ultima RS. Never heard of the latter until a day, or so ago. The Ultima RS looks like your Exige to me, so I thought it might be a variant of the Exige. Thank you for clarifying.

The Exige is actually a real car. The Ultima is a hand-built thing, and much more of a monster.

When you say 'hand-built thing,' what does that mean?

Who builds them? Is 'Ultima' the manufacturer of the RS, as Lotus is the manufacturer of the Exige?

Here, let me explain it this way.

Go to the Ultimate page and you will find that it's one car, in 3 versions. That's all.

https://www.ultimasports.co.uk/Models

Now go to the Lotus history page and you'll see, well, a whole hell of a lot more lol.

Visual

Thank you for sharing the links. Fascinating.

So, the RS is literally a kit car that you build yourself.

Couple other interesting things . . .

1. At its heart can be found the latest Chevrolet V8 LT euro 6 compliant direct fuel injection powerplant options - ranging from the 480bhp LT1, 650bhp LT4 and 800bhp supercharged LT5 (as seen in the factory demo car). Finally, the new supercharged LT5 powerplant can be further tuned to a hypercar power capability of up to a staggering 1200bhp.

So, if I am reading correctly, it is a naturally aspirated engine that produces insane amounts of power. I am not familiar with Chevy engines . . . do you know if Chevy uses any of these engines in any of their own cars? Or do they build them just for Ultimate?

2. They do not list prices, but offer this . . . You can build your own new Ultima RS supercar from our tailored self-assembly package of parts for around the same ballpark price as a mundane new BMW M3, depending on options selected. Turnkey Ultima RS cars can be factory built to special order.

So, seems you can purchase a supercar (RS) kit for about $70-80K, depending on options. . . 'mundane new BMW M3.'

The last sentence suggests they will factory build . . . for a hefty price, I am certain.

The LT V8 engines are used in a ton of cars dating back many years.

It's an off-the-shelf-motor, otherwise known as a "crate" motor, not specific to the Ultima.

You can have them build it, or there are other companies that can build it for you. The performance is so off the charts that the car is literally trying to kill you every moment, and being a type of kit-car, I'd be inclined to think that if you get into an accident, you're done for.

Retrofitted a set of Euro LCI blackline tail lights

Followed this DIY: https://www.thicf30.com/f87-m2-lci-t...ght-conversion

and ended up with a spare set of plugs, available in the classifieds if anyone needs a set

Indeed . . . that Evija looks like one bad-ass ride.

Reminds me of the latest Tesla supercar, the Roadster. . . can you say 0-60 in 1.9sec!!!!

Ordered new windshield wipers, cabin air filter, and intake air filter.

Also took it for a drive to keep the battery healthy and to Costco to pick up some booze and a few other things.

I have a pre-lci car, so I was going to upgrade to LCI anyway. So I thought why not get blackline ones, they ended up being the same price as the normal ones

I pulled the trigger on some Bimmerworld TA5R lightweight 18" wheels and Yokohama Advan A052 tires in 265/35 & 295/30. I'll be saving 22lbs of unsprung weight by changing. More pics of wheels tomorrow and even more when they're all installed
