I’d try to find a CPO Macan S but X3 M40 is a great car as well. Might do some comparitive research on resale for your options as well - purchase price is one thing, but depreciation is the primary true cost of ownership.

Having just this week moved from our X4 M40i to a macan GTS - I summarise the difference like this. The X4 M40i feels like a normal SUV with sports elements added (sporty exhaust), parts etc, and BTW - that could be just what you want for a daily. The Macan GTS however feels like the M2CS only higher and more like a sports car that happens to be a SUV. In fact when I drop the air suspension by an inch it feels barely taller than the CS.

That's a brilliant combo for a 2 car garage, you've chosen very well in my opinion.

My commute is different- short and mostly crawling, but I’ve just picked up a vw polo gti as a commuter.
