Ha! For the record I never changed my e92 halos. I thought that was a cheesy mod. However I would be open to doing the yellow DRL mod to my M2.

I placed an order today for the modules and icedrivers. I couldn't resist. I think it will look great with the black and gold. If it doesn't look good; I can sell the modules with the drivers to someone and they can benefit from not having to do the work. Winning all around.

The invoice was posted in this thread. I duplicated it. Cost about $260 for the modules and the housing covers. I couldn't resist. Can't decide if I'll code out the amber side markers, but probably leave them as is.

Not that it's a big deal, but the DRL modules are about $30 cheaper from this vendor.

the drl does dim down when the headlights are on. still visible and looks nice, but it’s definitely much brighter in the day time with headlights off.

hard to capture yellow drl with headlights on because the headlight illumination wash out the picture

in person, i’m quite happy with how it looks, and the overall cost of the mod.

for the time being, it’ll stand out in a sea of white leds. that is until many more people swap to yellow. 🤣

I've got the intensity of my Halos coded brighter. It will be interesting to see how that impacts things. They don't dim when the headlights come on.

The great part is the factory white isn't being destroyed. Super easy to swap back and I really like that.

Do you have your halo brightness set to 100% with the low beams on or a different setting?

I can't remember. I think there were 2 settings. Let me see if I can find the cheat sheet that I used.

Yes, there is a line of code for when parking lights are on and headlights. Also brightness adjust for DRL.

Wondering if there was a whole other setting for the halos because I had set my factory DRL and halos to 70% on day one. I tried messing with the same settings in the FEM the other day and it doesn't seem to affect the brightness at all. I also saw a separate setting for angel eyes for each headlights currently set at 46% (which I assume is stock) and another option for 100%. I didn't mess with that one because I think 100% would be too much at night and it also says it would require loading a backup to reset it (which I don't have).

At night I don't find my halos too bright. They do seem to be the same intensity as the main headlights. I figured that as long as the headlights are on it should cause too much issue. I also coded the adaptive headlights, which is nice. And fun to watch them in action.

I'm going to use 3m doubled sided tape. I think diyguy posted two videos on the module update for G series and f87.

not sure how well 3m tape will hold up to the heat generated by led module, and/or transfer heat to the heatsink it’s attached to. there’s a reason why two tiny led modules are attached to a big ass heatsink.

I broke down and went 100% for the angel eyes brightness. They're not as bad as I thought they would be and look great!

I went ahead and ordered the glue. I had concerns about the heat myself and this pic made it easy to find what I needed. Thanks

I showed the Minister of War & Finance the photoshop of a SOM M2C with the yellow halo's.

Disapproved w/ extreme prejudice.

This is one of situations where it may be better to beg for forgiveness than to ask for permission

Dave try thermal adhesive tape as a less messy (and cheaper) alternative to the paste.
