Leith BMW stupid

I inquired about a M2 spot a while back at Leith BMW. Their idiot sales staff keep emailing me asking what I was looking for after the initial contact. I told them I want a M2 allocation built to my spec at MSRP. Here's the response I got.

Maybe they are so dumb they will discount an M2 and sell it to me

"Hi, we seem to have a miscommunication here. I'm not sure why you would believe that a vehicle would come with a MSRP other than one that reflects the vehicle, plus the features you want on it. When you go on the website to "build your own", it tells you what the MSRP will be.

We typically discount our vehicles, but if you prefer to buy at MSRP, then I imagine a manger would not refuse that offer. The question I asked you was a valid question, as 3 other people couldn't figure out exactly what you were talking about.

If you would like to take a second to clarify exactly what you're asking for, then I can see what can be done to help you out, but asking for a vehicle at MSRP is not only vague, but non-sensical, as it would be asking for us to charge you more than you would actually have to pay. "

Play along, get it in writing. Who knows, you might get the first discounted M2.

This rep is obviously too dumb to even put in my order correctly should an allocation come up. I would avoid.

I would play along and try to get an M2 at invoice. There's not much to screw up with an order of only 3 choices.

Rather than asking for the car at MSRP you should have asked what they would charge you for the M2, just like you probably would for any car. Otherwise you're negotiating against yourself. I know the market for these cars is insane, but let them name the price!

I had to laugh reading that. He really has no idea.

I would try to get it discounted then. Maybe you can start acting as dumb as him and you guys can make a deal.

Concern I would have, is since they dont have a clue, most likely rare chance of getting an allocation. That or, that CA sales off the mini lot

Turns out just an idiot coordinator, finally told her she was wasting my time and she got a manager who told me they have a long line and only expecting 2-3 units in 2016 and only selling to locals. Avoid these guys.
