So I bit the bullet and ordered the dash cover at the weekend and it just arrived - nice easy install (takes a bit of pressure to get the cover seated - glad it's a nice hot day in the UK!) and looks really fantastic - really lifts the interior and very pleased!
Will post pics in a bit ![]() |

The reason I ask is, I fancy the GTS with the extra stitching but I'm concerned the stitching might fade over time? Can anyone advise? MJ |

Both versions look great IMO but the extra stitching on the GTS is a nice visible feature looking in through the windscreen as well. Sorry no pics tonight as I forgot when I left work but I'll try and get some tomorrow ![]() |

I've been in talks with them to see if there's anything they could do for either a group buy, or a forum discount.

Alcantara is actually cheap. Just go to an automotive upholstery shop and have them install the material however you want.
I've had custom headliners put in that looked better than OEM for less than $200. I've had leather seats repaired for $50-100 to like new condition when the dealer would say I needed to buy a whole new seat or charge me something outrageous to fix some dye faded no or a minor crack. |

I am not sure how you wear it out. It's very durable. You just take a damp washcloth r equivalent with a small amount of dish soap and it's very easy to clean and bring the nap back. I had an alcantara steering wheel before and I would say it's very difficult to wear it down like leather. I also have an alcantara topped seat on my Ducati and do the same thing to that. It's four years old and still looks new. And I don't sit on that seat like I would a car seat. I move around on it a good bit.

I commented on this video in another thread. As I stated there, the video poster is somewhat misinformed. And his steering wheel is easily cleaned and brought back to life. Nothing is actually worn off the wheel. I'd be very surprised if that were the case. My alcantara steering wheel was on my daily driver Mustang and it would start looking just like the one in the video. But a couple minutes of cleaning, and voila, it looked new again.

I'm going to get the M Performance wheel with LED installed - so that's been a concern for me. I just wanted an OEM way of monitoring the oil and water temp and that seemed to fit.
Good to know it can be restored. I did watch a few YouTube videos showing some guys using what looked like a toothbrush or similar tools to restore the Alcantara but the end results - while better than at the start - never looked pristine. I was getting worried that I needed gloves to use it every day. ![]() |
