I should have been more clear. I'm confused because I did not know Euro Delivery is done for the vehicles made in South Carolina. I thought people have to resort to doing a Performance Center delivery down South if they bought one of the SUVs.

I suppose for clients in Germany, the car was going to be shipped there anyway. May as well offer a special delivery experience for the customer.

Yes, I guess we have to remember that Europeans do European Delivery as well.

So must be like it was said earlier, that X models ED is allowed for European customers since the car will stay there but BMW won't do an ED for USA since it involves shipping to Europe for the to ED and then again shipping back to USA.

It's not for Americans/Canadians. Note the Blue on the plate not the red tourist plate. Europeans can of course take delivery at the Welt! That particular plate is a D for Deutschland (Germany) and an M for Munich...so that went to a local!

Fortunately the M Performance wheels seems to be black. For real this time.

Benjamin, the wonderful guide I had, told me this is the first Euro Delivery they've done there of the M2 Competition!

I was really worried about ordering a silver colour, sight unseen, as I find silver is the most boring colour you can get on a car. But this colour is gorgeous! Hints of grey outside of the sunlight, which is beautiful.

I've seen tons of pics posted lately, so I'll post just a few and confirm one thing that I was surprised to see. I ordered the car with Black 788M wheels (option code 29U), and thought at first they had given me the regular wheels that are bi-colour, as I expected them to be all black, like the 666M wheels. But they are not black. Their face is a tinted gunmetal grey as you'll see from my photos below. The face of the regular bi-colour wheels is regular bright silver. That's the only difference I can tell. The photos you've seen of them in the ordering guides are actually accurate!

The pics are taken at the Welt, other than the third and second to last, which were outside the Welt, so you get an idea of the car and wheel colours in the sun, and the last one, parked in the garage.

I'll be starting my trip tomorrow, so I'll get to post driving impressions after. For now, I just drove in heavy traffic back to the hotel, but can confirm the brakes are really powerful! Only thing I wish is that the exhaust was louder, with more burbles, like the M4 Competition Pack, but that's fixable.

For those who are curious, my itinerary, which is a bit ambitious, is about 2000 KM driving in 7 days. Munich to Austria via Grossglockner pass (to go see Bayern Munich play Paris St Germaine - not bad ), then to west to Italy to drive the Stelvio pass, then north to see the Neuschwanstein castle, then up to Stuttgart for the Porsche Museum via the German alps, then up to the Ring for 2 days via the Black Forest road, and back down to Munich, cuz I gotta hit the Autobahn seriously by that point, after having done the Alps in 3 countries.
.
.
.
Congrats 2000 km in 2 days is achievable. I hope you did not get manual. DCT only.
Some people actually like to shift themselves...

The wheels look great, not so keen on the single piece grill but car looks awesome in silver.

I can see my self in for a set of the wheels once people start going aftermarket, and the mirrors too
