-Sunroof as an option in the USA because it was already being offered in North America in Canada as well as many parts of the rest of the world.

I agree with you ... one would think that a hardcore version would come -without- a sunroof but hey .. this really isn't that hardcore a car now is it ? It's a daily driver with many creature comforts including power seats.
The "M motor" was due to the N55 not being able to pass new environmental standards, not customer demand.

Also wish we could order the M2 without the power seats as you mention.
I'm gonna edit that post to include the also unwanted " M" tax.

While agree with you on WLTP being the reason the primary reason the N55 went away ... there still was heavy consumer want for an " S " motor to make it a " real M car " along with those other items.

OP doesn't need to spend time behind a keyboard of a laptop or phone right now. His place as we speak is his M Sport Seat behind the wheel of his M2C, tearing up the Autobahn, Alps twisties and eventually the Nürburgring.

Actually it's rather "M2 Boss" than "M2 Competition", simply because that car is and will remain the #1 delivery worldwide. Extremely rare bird freely flying on the public road. No Ascari circuit restrictions. Will turn lots of heads everywhere it roams. Others will also take delivery in the near future but will never be that very #1. Congrats, Lotus99. Enjoy !

Free Internet access in Europe is very spotty. Most hotels were around 10 Euro a day for their WiFi when I went last. I can't tell you how many times I went to the Welt just for the free WIFI while on ED.

There are WiFi hot spots everywhere , but they are all locked off and one needs to have an account with a provider to get access.

Even if you get free WIFI , sorting and uploading photos does take time. And making a very detailed thread regarding your journey takes a lot of time. It's definitely worth doing as you will have a blog/journal forever ( until your photo host decides to bend you over - yeah I'm talking about you photobucket and Flickr )

I can imagine but that also helps disconnecting from social media and truly enjoying the trip itself.

AWESOME congrats!!..Ive driven much of the route you are looking to cover.. when i got my 911, and a few times when im in EURO for biz, what a great trip pm me if you need restaurants. Cars is beautiful, i do think all black wheels would be more impartial especially n the silver color...but you can always powder coat if you decide... enjoy remember when you get back home we do NOT have an autobahn here so get your fill while abroad....lol
