On 4/1, I was very pleased to get my 2019 for $65,900. During negotiations, I said I would be willing to buy one off the lot that had been there December if they could get close to my desired price given that it had a lot of extras I didn’t necessarily want. (Note they had 3 M2Cs on the lot and the other two had 763M wheel options for added $6k.). I also explained I was willing to order to get the options I wanted and pay MSRP (which would have been $64,900) with no add ons.

Sticker price doesn’t include the added PPF and window tint which is easily a couple of grand more.

All in all, I think I made out well on my dream car.

Yah that's what I'm asking about. I had no idea this was a thing sadly. I sent out various emails in the last hour asking if I can get the discount applied or not.

Problem is I ordered through a US dealer so I doubt they will be able to do the discount. But I am eligible for it.

Seems he is getting his delivered to the US.
It's a special sales program while you are stationed abroad and can get delivered to US to line up with your rotation back. Stateside posting won't qualify.

Yeah so I'm abroad. But I assume my dealer just can't use the discount with my allocation that is on the line currently. I would have to get my deposit back from them and then go through this program?

As noted, there are so many factors affecting individual deals - relationship/number of cars purchased from the dealer, profits made by increased interest rate/MF or extra fees, dealer-installed "options" etc. For my M3 I wanted to do ED and so looked for the best deal, which at the time was 5% ED discount and $1500 over invoice from a dealer in another state. This time I wanted a local delivery, and was quite happy after some basic research to receive an allocation with a production date this month from an in-state dealer for MSRP (- $500 CCA discount). I could have definitely gotten a better deal for on of the 2019s on the the lot (they had 2) but they were both DCT. And I know I could have gotten $500 - 1000 off MSPR if I looked all over the country, that amount of money/travel was not worth the hassle/time/transport costs to me.

It's definitely worth a conversation with BMW USA and your dealer...

He needs to go to special military sales. The link you posted is for the normal USAA discount which doesn't apply to M2C.

See https://www.bmw-special-sales.com/en.../overview.html

Fair point. Although, the link you reference is the third link down on the webpage that I referenced.

I picked up a MY2020 allocation for $3,300 off MSRP. It's actually $2,501 off because of the $799 dealer fee, which some people don't realize is straight dealer profit. If you pay MSRP plus a dealer fee you're not actually getting the car for MSRP.

I actually found a 2019 and was going to get the same deal but slept on it because it was DCT. It turned out they had another allocation which couldn't have worked out better. I'm getting a model year newer and exactly what I want. The MSRP ended up being $61,645 on my car.

I understand the only difference for the 2020 is the darkened taillights, which really isn't a big deal for me.

Thoughts?
I don't know where you live, but if you're in New England, I'd take the 2019 and enjoy it for the season.

The resale of the 19 and 20 should be a wash.
Actually, pretty big diff between a 19 and 20 in terms of resale in the next few years. One car will always be a year older. So unless keeping for a long time, always get the newer car. Rarely is it worth a few hundred savings for the older one.

I went through local authorized dealer in Germany. Before leaving US, I actually reached out to a local dealer about placing an order. The dealer in California told me I'd be better off going through Military Sales when I arrive in country. Hope this helps and you can take advantage of this program.

Do you have a sheet showing the price breakdown? $61,6xx is the msrp price of a manual M2C with exec, did you get some M performance parts that made it more expensive?

Yeah, I have the order sheet. I ordered it with the exec package, just subtract the discount from the MSRP and that’s my cost.

@nomoracin, come on, man! When I picked mine up 6 months ago, they PAID ME $3,500. And they threw in some hookers and Cheetos! Y'all gotta up yo negotiatin' game, bro!

Okay, in all seriousness, for those of us who've been on this forum for what feels like centuries now, every time one of these amazing deals comes up, we've never actually seen any proof. Alternately, there's been some crazy extenuating circumstance that isn't available to us mere mortals. There was one dude on here who kept giving everyone flak for paying MSRP, effectively calling us all morons in not so many words, for not getting the $2k discount he got. When probed a little deeper, turns out his shop buys performance cars like candy and every dealer obviously wants to build a relationship with that buyer! Another dude on here got a $1,500 discount, and we were all like, "WTF? Dealers are still marking up! How?" Turns out this guy had bought like 10 different BMWs from this particular dealer over the past 2 decades. At least guy #2 wasn't a condescending P**** about it. He was just stating facts. Guy #3 bought his from South Dakota, which got 2 early M2Cs, but you had to travel to South Dakota to pick the car up. (I totally would have done it, but the 2 cars were AW, and I wanted HS.)

So, I'm with Mr. Nomoracin on this one. You got a $3,500 discount 6 months ago? 6 months ago when every available M2C was at markup? When Braman BMW was advertising theirs at $20k markup and BMW SF at $10k markup? And there were no extenuating circumstances, like you're the dealership owner's nephew? Or maybe your dad is a mob boss and the dealer owes your dad $1M and is about to get his kneecaps broken and used the sale to buy himself some time? Or, maybe you're Randy Pobst and the dealership is hoping you'll drop their name in the next Motor Trend Head to Head video? Not saying it didn't happen, but on the internet we're all smoking hot chicks, right? As they say, "Pics, or it didn't happen."
Yes

No relation to any Bmw dealers or plugs just a man with a dream of never paying msrp for anything.

Also got that 500 dollar check from bmwcca.

I'm sorry, but this one is hard to believe.

...but, if you did, then well done!

Not to be skeptical...

..every time one of these amazing deals comes up, we've never actually seen any proof.
Bravo! I was thinking the same thing but it's rude to ask a stranger for proof of a discount.
I know anything I claim, I could back it up with just a iPhone 5 with a crack screen; it's not that difficult.

I'm happy for anyone that snagged a discount but I subscribe to the theory; "I'll believe it when I see it"

I am now eagerly anticipating a post that will make us all eat crow. We're going to get a photo showing a forum member:

1. Holding his invoice at $3,500 under MSRP, dated September 1, 2018
2. With 2 buxom working girls hanging off his arms, each one scantily clad in only bumper stickers saying, "Provided by Stevens Creek BMW to our valued customer"
3. Sitting on 10 giant Costco boxes of Cheetos

That'll show us self-righteous prigs!

See post above sorry for the delay...

Does it burn? Kidding.
Damn! Bravo!
