Agreed some of the sales guys are unbelievably bad in the car and RE industry. Likewise they wouldn't last long in our business. |

I will be picking up my m2 in the next couple of weeks. Some of my mates for my birthday have chipped in and have the performance exhaust waiting to be installed at Southern bm in Victoria. Do you think it is necessary for me to wait for the first service before installing or I should be ok as it is just a cat back.

Just started price matching the AU prices to the US based vendors. Given the AU prices are fitted - they are actually quite reasonable - at least for the parts I'm interested in.
70c and GST starts to add up... |

Imo those keen on the perf exhaust I'd wait until you have spent a bit of time with the stock exhaust before forking out the big $. I'm happy with mine as is and normally this is one of the first things i change on my cars.

I was thinking an exhaust would be the first thing I'd need, but having driven a few M2's I'm not so sure just yet. I think BMW really did a great job on the stock unit, I'm sure at some point I'd consider one but I'm holding out to see what else will be available. And of course I want to hear the MPE in person. On the 1M it was needed, the car is way too quiet in standard form. |

$11k for the exhaust? Hilarious. Just like how I was told the M-Perf exhaust for my 328i wasn't legal in Australia, before being quoted $5k fitted. Ended up just buying one from the US. Cost me around $1500 all up. Again, I just wouldn't waste the time and money getting one over here. I'm only interested in the M-perf suspension and I'll be ordering mine overseas.
Exhaust wise, I like the tone of the stock exhaust better than the M-perf, I'll wait to hear some un-muffled stock exhausts before pulling the trigger on an aftermarket exhaust. |

Still only a handful of posters in Australia with cars!
Hope you all enjoy your M2's. I still think it is a great car but I have cancelled my order and I am about to take delivery of an RS3. |

I want to know too! RS3 was my sensible silly car choice, especially coming from a VAG background (those interiors... oh my) but ultimately I decided to follow my heart and go with the less practical, less powerful, more expensive, fun option. Wow, when I put it like that it sounds like a really stupid decision doesn't it? Regardless, the M2 for me was the one car I had to tear myself away from after I drove it so I had to get one.

Hi everyone. Firstly wanted to say hello to you all as I'm new to the forum.
I have some questions for those who are lucky enough to have their M2 already, or anyone who has seen them in the flesh. When I first saw the car online, I was a bit indifferent about LBB, but then it grew on me and I felt it was the best colour for the car. I was lucky enough to see a LBB M2 in person recently, and while I liked the colour, in some lighting/angles I didn't. Unfortunately I didn't see it outside, only in the dealership. I have since ordered an M2 in AW (DCT, sunroof), but looking at pictures in the forum more and more, I'm considering a change to LBB (I still have time, build start is not until October). My questions for you all are what were your first impressions of LBB in person, did it live up to the pictures or fall short? And for those with a LBB M2, do you still like the colour or would you have chosen differently? Thanks for your input. |
