engine oil selection
So, I was surprised t get a low engine oil notification the other day, the car is an M2C. Very low mileage car, 13K kilometers but last oil/filter change was 2600 kilometers ago. I hope that it was wrongly filled.
The car has also had an MHD stage 1 software installed, but only for the last 400 kilometers. I have noticed that owners in the States experiment a lot with different viscosities and that Turner, ECS and other online vendors show alternative viscosities under the M2C products tab. Of owners that have switched to 5w-40, has anybody perhaps noticed reduced oil consumption, thanks. |

My 3 oil changes never had any consumption. First oil change was at the BMW dealer, and the 2 others were Motul 5W-40. Whatever level the oil was at the beginning stayed the same till the next oil change which is about 1 year or 4k miles. Car has about 20k miles currently.
