Painted the silver sack last night. Looks a million times better. Took me WAY longer to remove the stock diffuser and mask off the car than it did to paint.

Woo! I finally have something to post in this thread!

I only have a couple of crappy shots in my garage with the light on, but I'll take some more tomorrow when the car is out in the sun at work. The drive home was very busy, but the tone and overall volume is much more fun. Now that there's carbon fiber at the back, I think I might need carbon fiber mirror caps to even it out...hmmm...

Futrell Autowerx. They're an Audi/VW/Porsche shop in Beaverton but were recommended by another forum member. They were fantastic.

How did you end up making the call for Akrapovic? Did you have any thoughts you could share in comparison with other exhausts? I've been looking through all videos available. Trying to see an example in person, as well as Remus race/sport.

Stock tips took some gentle convincing with a rubber mallet, but eventually came right off. The BMS use the same clip/clamp mechanism as OEM and snap right on.

I've never done exhaust upgrades before. My decision making process wasn't all that long, and I didn't really have enough experience to do more than just take a leap of faith. My instinct was to get the M-Performance exhaust to keep everything tied to my dealership, but with the tips the thing is really not well-priced, even before you tack on dealership install rates. I liked the Akrapovic from the videos I'd heard of it (as helpful as that is or isn't...computer speakers n all), and the price compared the cost of the M-Perf exhaust+tips vs the Akrapovic + diffuser was a reasonable match, the shop had done one before, and their distributor had them in stock. In the moment, I decided to just go with it. I'm pretty happy that I just went ahead and did it.

Didn't want to replace the dash with the m performance one, so designed and printed a custom decal using the official M2 Comp logo for the interior.
