I believe when you buy the pack I you get ALL the maps for the car.

Alright. I’m getting the whole OTS pack.

Have you guys used an iPhone to connect? Straight connect into the enet cable and iPhone’s lightning adapter right. No need for that OBD Agent (OPT 2)? Image below (from their website) seems to say otherwise.

My FBO N55 made 8whp & 28wtq on a OTS ACN 91 octane BM3 map vs stock tune.

How reliable it'll be & what the logs looked like I'm not sure but that's what it put down

ENET to Lightning adapter with an iPhone works great. Faster and more stable than the wireless OBD agent.

Are you happy with that gain? Seems rather low (IMHO). Disclaimer: I'm a newbie. Should i be adjusting my expectation to be around this range?

My current plan now is FMIC, charge pipe, turbo inlet and high flow downpipe. I don't think that's considered (full) FBO.

Nope. Threw mine in the trash bc it was getting flaky anyways.

Those are the “gains” you get with low octane 91 fuel. The fuel is the bottleneck.

6speed_M2 also made 440+whp with the same hardware and an E50 mix with the Stg 2+ E30 OTS map.

You could run your 100 octane fuel and the Stg 2+ Race Gas map and get similar results.

We've also put down 480wtq & 385whp on another 91 octane tune. It all depends on how you drive the car & your intended goals.

I'm currently on a new set up for both 91 octane & E50. As of now we're putting down

385whp & 407wtq (close to the stock tune in terms of power, stock tune FBO)

426whp & 433wtq on E50 making 400whp up to 7k rpm.

We went with a "low boost" approach, or should I say a track focused approach. Something that could handle any weather & any circumstances (daily driving, canyons, track) more of a bulletproof tune if you will VS the bigger numbers from my E30+ dyno with the bm3. I wanted to keep the heat out as much as possible to avoid the extra stress on the engine.

The torque kicks in at 2.5k rpm and builds until 4k instead of that initial dump from the bm3 tunes

There’s an active sound on/off in BM3. Is that the same as the active sound that is pump into the speakers? Or do I really need to use bimmercode to shut that off?

What I would like to figure out is drivability. Back when I had my STi the most powerful tune certainly wasn't the easiest to drive. Which one of these drives the most like stock?

I'd recommend getting a pro tune either way. I like the current set up I'm on with the flex fuel sensor & as far as drivability it's never been better, esp when the car is being driven hard.

Hi guys. Just got my activation code today and proceeded to hook my iPhone to the car. Activation went well and proceeded to downloaded the Stage-1 91 & 93 octane. Download & Flash later.

I then went to click the FLASH button. The dashboard started to have its expected display of errors but around a minute later I'm seeing ODB is not connected. Now no matter what I do it's no longer recognizing the connection. OBD DISCONNECTED (red rectangle). Problem is the car has all these errors now. &*^%#%!! What did I do wrong and what can I do to fix this?

Help.

I'll try and disconnect the battery's black wire in the trunk.

I'm worried to be honest.

Hey, looks like the adapter might've given out on you mid flash. Don't freak out. There's a flash back to stock option that should work. Do you have an obd2 to Ethernet cable and a pc?

I connected my MacBook with an adapter, again ....and it worked. It connected and showed green! So I flashed it again and this time it finished doing it.

Then I plugged it back to my iPhone and it took a while then it showed green as connected again.

The laptop needed to download a ODB Agent.... the iPhone doesn’t need to do that?

Tomorrow morning I’m testing the car.

If I were you I'd continue to use the MacBook to flash. I have the wireless bm3 adapter so I can flash from my phone but it's just too finicky. Just recently, a forum ember flashed after dinner at restaurant iirc and ended not getting his car to run due to a faulty flash. Always flash with a computer at home. Drive safely!

Yeah I read that thread. But I’m on WIRED but using the iPhone. Isn’t that what most BM3 users are doing?

I can't speak for most users, but I prefer using my laptop. Especially for datalogging, it makes the graphs much easier to interpret in real time.

I just tried the data logging function. What should I be noting on it. so many datas. I've got some knocking 0.2 & 0.4 I would assume nothing to worry about? City driving.

I went straight to Stage-1 93
internal 114F

All stock. BM3 only.

BTW, laptop needed internet access during the drive out.... all the time or can I log Offline?
