I'm pretty sure Nardo is an Audi color - you can get it through the BMW Individual program IIRC.

Here's a great thread on the first M4CS in North America - it's CanAutM3 's LRG M4CS.

The exclusive to the M3/4cs colour is Lime Rock Grey, which is metallic. It is quite dynamic and changes shades depending on lighting.

Nardo Grey, the Audi RS base colour, is solid (non-metallic).

I guess I stand corrected..

Everyone in the F30 and M4 section always rave about Nardo Gray like it was a color that Picasso used or something, I just assumed that was it.

My bad.

It's definitely a nice color - but I actually prefer LRG. My local dealer had an M3 and M4 CS on their showroom floor recently, and both were in LRG. It's a fantastic color.

On the M2CS front, I checked with my SA yesterday, and his information seems to match up with what we are hearing on here: March 2020 SOP and a limited run of cars. He wasn't sure how many they were going to get, but that makes sense...

What? BMW stole Nardo from Audi? And even kept the same name? LOL, that's outrageous.

Adaptive suspension is not about comfort, it is about improved performance. The fact that there is a "Comfort" mode is only a side benefit.

BMW did not "steal" Nardo and it is not part of the standard BMW colour palette. However, it can be ordered through the Individual program as any other colour from any manufacturer .

Just like Ferrari Red (Ferrari), Miami Blue (Porsche), etc....

Correct. What Dav3 is saying is like claiming that the 9k rpm flat-6 in a 911 GT3 must have been developed for fuel economy because it's not a carbeurated 454.

With any street car, the handling is always limited by what the buyers of that car will tolerate for ride comfort on the road. This is unavoidable.

Adaptive suspension can can both keep the car flatter than a passive suspension and driver better or equal comfort in almost all situations.

Adaptive dampers typically have about 2-4 times the force capability of the passive version of the same car. At low speeds, it could be up to 10x depending on the model.

If you you have ever driven a both an M4CS and a Comp pack (I currently own a CS and had a comp pack) I can tell you that, on paper, the difference is not worth the money, unless you get a good deal which many of us have. But once you drive them you quickly realize that the CS feels almost like a different car in that it feels expertly tuned to provide confidence and feedback when driving, everything finally works in harmony and the sound IMO is perfect. And to me, there is nothing more important than a car that provides confidence.

In the case of the M2CS on paper (according to the OP bulletin) it seems like a better deal because it has 85Hp more then the original M2 and 40hp more than the Comp (the M4CS only had a 10hp increase over the comp). It will also have some parts that cannot be added after market, but above all, it will be meticulously tuned for the best possible performance to an already outstanding car. IMO that tuning is difficult to quantify but extremely valuable.

If the M2CS comes a tad below in pricing than an equivalently equipped NON-Comp M4, I will be adding it to my garage... and never look back.

Nardo is definitely a VAG color. It has been since like forever. Either way, I was kidding. I couldn't give two shits about Nardo or who has it on any car. I don't even particularly like it.

No dispute here about Nardo being a VAG colour (BTW, we also own an Audi )

The point is that folks can order pretty much any colour they want through the Individual program.

Lime Rock Grey is nothing like Nardo. I dont particularly like Nardo either, we actually had to pay extra to get a different colour than Nardo on our RS3. But I really like the Lime Rock Grey on my CS

I don't believe we will see an M2cs hit the market before the current M4 EOP. IMO, the M2cs is perfect candidate to fill the void between the F8X EOP and G8X SOP.

I hear ya....I'm not a big fan of any grey that looks like cement. Some people love it though. When it comes to greys, I prefer more of a metallic gun metal look.

Correction, it's Lime Rock Grey Metallic. In the sun you can see the highlights. It's one of the reasons I got the M3 CS.
