Taking tuned vehicle back to dealership for routine service

Hey,

I am taking my 2018 M2 in for an oil change and sparkplugs service (warranty covered) tomorrow morning.

It's my understanding that BMW can detect a tuned vehicle even if it has been flashed back to stock. I am not trying to get warranty coverage for any future damage that may occur to the vehicle as a result of the tune. I understood that was a risk when I modified the software. My new vehicle limited warranty is also up in just about 6 months.

So, my question is this: Do I just take my car in tuned and with the catted downpipe on it, or is there some advantage to taking the engine and transmission tunes off?

If your warranty is almost up and you don't need warranty work at this time I don't think you need to stress it. I'd leave as is and just go get the service

This. Can confirm mine went in BM3 stage 1 and coded with BimmerCode with no adverse effect from the visit beyond forgetting to tell them it was ceramic coated. That sucked.
