I guess you can look at it that way. The on board diagnostics is not that complicated. It just reads the sensors and pops a code when certain conditions are met. Every sensor has a range that's considered normal.

There is at least 40 sensors and they are used for hundreds of checks. In this case the OBD just skips one of the tests.

My FI catless doesn't throw a code. They have those mini cats inside surrounding the o2 sensor. So far so good.

Hey Mike, I just installed the Wagner DP I bought from you guys. Just a quick question. The O2 sensor wire is now tight and a little stretched when I tried to lock it in the bracket in the engine bay. Is it normal?

I wouldn't buy a Wagner 300 cel sport cat or any other product from them again.

The spacing between the o2 sensors is too far and the post cat o2 sensor cable is stretched so tight it's damaged the wiring.

I got cel code 12b304 cable break on o2 heating circuit turning cat monitoring off will not stop this cel code.

I had to buy a new o2 sensor when fitting my catless downpipe ( not Wagner )

For the price Wagner charge problems like this shouldn't happen

I don't know if it is a manufacturing fault with my unit or they are all like this. Unfortunately the tuner who originally fitted this and mapped the car didn't mention this otherwise I would have sent it back to Wagner.

Have had the Wagner 300 DP for 6 months now. It certainly triggers CEL for every 900-1000km but no biggie. Very easy to clear it with a dongle. I think for its price it’s worth every penny. Great product.

Regardless of the O2 sensor being too tight, just secure it and it should be fine.

Ok the cable is at a 90 degree angle and taut like a guitar string. That is not a quality product it is poorly designed and an attempt to stop the cel light by placing the sensors further apart.

I would like to reiterate for anyone researching what downpipe to buy.

The Wagner is badly designed will possibly damage the cable for the post cat o2 sensor and is overpriced

It's overpriced and a poor design, there are better ways to waste money.

WOW! Wagner Catted DP

One of my favorite mods if not the #1 IMO has to be the Wagner DP I got from Mike.

Sure the aft O2 sensor is tight if you maintain both clip positions. I simply route using 1 clip and connections fit in the original locations on top of the engine (N55).

Coupled with BM3 I have had Zero Issues . I ran this 300 Cell without a tune and now with BM3 Stage 1 Tune coupled with I/C, Charge Pipe, and T-Inlet plus OEM Plugs. Even have the Dinan Intake which is really just for looks -- possible improvement at top end -- but I love it.

No issues and love it.

I can't understand why people are still try to make out this is a good product. Read the thread linked a couple of posts back lots of people are having same problem.

Not installing cables in the correct location that are located next to a very hot exhaust system is quite simply crap. As is driving around with the cable under tension and hoping it will be ok

I've had a lot of hassle because of this downpipe and would hate to think someone will go and spend £800 when there are many better options out there.

If you are using bm3 or other software simply turn the post cat o2 monitoring off. Placing the sensors too far apart is trying to solve a problem 95% of people tuining an m2 won't have

I agree. There are downpipes that cost a fraction and perform the same (or better) and have better fitment. This one cost as much as downpipes with a no CEL guarantee (for those who need to test in emission compliant states or countries) but doesn’t offer that guarantee.

It’s literally a waste of money and does nothing better than anything else on the market, yet because a few people wasted money on an obvious inferior product, they are trying to justify their purchase.

He's had the downpipe for two years; he is happy with it.

He posted about it a few times on the forums; he is not "pretending" to be happy to "justify" the purchase to strangers on the internet.

The guy is happy with his mod; why can't you let him be?

Which down pipes offer a no CEL guarantee, at the same price as the Wagner?

Unless something changed, ActiveAuto was in the same range. If you don’t need a cel guarantee, even a $300 VRSF and CTS will do the same, and not potentially ruin your O2 cable.

Hey Mike, do you guys have any offers on the Fabspeed downpipes for an M2 LCI (N55)? I am based in the UK (Belfast, Northern Ireland) so a rough idea of postage would also be great also.
