Is that yours? That's great. When I was doing tracks in my 911, that much tape would have lasted me 6 months.

PCD is still in my mind. Thanks for the wrap ideas. Let's see how the timeline works out.

Yup, 3 rolls of the wide stuff. It all stayed on for 550 miles until it rained for the last 25 miles and then all hell broke loose.

I took delivery of my M2 at the SC performance center on 12/16/16 and wouldn't have wanted to take delivery any other way! It was an awesome experience and can't wait to get back there for M school in the future. Happy to answer any questions.

Got a message from the Performance Center letting me know that BMW Manufacturing will provide a special access factory tour available only to PCD and BMW 101 Experience customers.

Same here, I knew the museum was closed I didn't know the tour was shut down too.

Anyone doing the drive up to Ashville to drive blue ridge parkway? Is it worth it?

The wife and I are driving up to Asheville after delivery. The BRP is nice but there are a lot of nice roads up there, I just really love that area. I think it will be the first time I get to be in that area while in a fun car.

How much tracwrap did you need to cover the front of your M2 or what size roll did you get? Going to buy some, but not sure how much I need. Thanks.

You don't need a whole lot, but it's the nooks and crannies that will be the biggest pain. I bought a 6"x40' and a 4"x20'. Total was less than $100. But as you can see by the picture I only did partial front.

My PCD will be in July and a long drive to Michigan. Will that tracwrap be OK in the HIGH HEAT for hours?

I think it should be fine. Tracwrap is high quality as you can tell by the price and it's by XPEL. I'm personally using roadwrap which is way way cheaper and should get the job done as my drive is only about 300 miles.

why not consider trakktape? 3" x 100' is far less expensive compared to Tracwrap

Do we know how it holds up to prolonged exposure to the sun? I will be driving from the PDC to Michigan in July heat.

Hey Stu - I just made this drive on Monday 3/20 with my M240i with trakktape. Originally, I applied a long strip of tape from fender wheel arch to fender wheel arch. However, made the mistake of cutting it at fender/hood line. Bad mistake. Plus, it rained on the way home from Cinci to Walled Lake; I ended up removing almost all of it at frequent stops.

In a few weeks ill be making another trip from PCD to MI but with the M3 this time. I wont be cutting the trakktape and ill make sure to remove as many air bubbles as possible.

Luckily, no stone chips found after extensive detail session where trakktape was present.

I know that a few of our neighbors have used it with success as well: humbertin0 visi107
