The missing greenhouse is what's causing the wide rear fenders to disappear (visually). The wide fenders are there. It's the proportion of the greenhouse to body, or the visual difference between them that lets you perceive the car as a wide volume.

the car looks good but the wheels are too big therefore we get the 4x4 effect and that makes it look weird. I'm guessing if you put those wheels on a m2 coupe it would also look like an ugly suv
