Introducing the BMW 2002 Hommage Concept Based on the M2 (Updated with our live pics)

I cant believe im saying this, but overall i like it. However, Those front headlights need some work to make them more "BMW". As is, they make the front look like a ford mustang. The other thing is the rear, i see the resemblence to the 2002 but it reminds me more of a lexus than a classic bmw.

And on another note, THANK YOU bmw for the cool turbo emblem/ stickers, youve just given everyone with a 135i, 235i, 335i a very horrible idea

Since when is BMW worried about VW? There are other brands that strictly copy BMW. BMW used to set the precedent, now they follow and try to one-up after the fact. Every day I see more Porsche and Golf Rs. The new 7/5 series are started to look more like Audi. BMW needs more Moulin Rouge - time to drop the Birdcage antics.

Honestly I think it looks perfectly aggressive. Not sure why all the hate, I think it's stunning. Bmw should get back to sharp, crisp lines like this. I wish my m3 had those wheels. Cool car.

Totally digging this one. Love that front end. Love the wheels too, but please no contrasting color between the two intertwined 5x y-spokes.

That defeats the purpose of them being a throwback to the old mesh wheels.

I like it a lot and I was very critical of the 3.0 CSL Hommage. That thing was and still is hideous. 2002 Hommage has a nice understated aggressive look.

I dig the styling of this thing. It's a total hybrid throwback style mixing today's manufacturing capabilities with a sixties/seventies styling look. It's different then all the series yet it seems to have a piece from all of them. (The rear window swoop is total 3series) It's a turbo car so it's allowed to sound like a turbo car and not be criticized. On that note I thought the exhaust was great! I'd love to have one of these. Unique and appreciated by only those who really dig the brand.

Or add some pop rivets and you have an M2 Liberty Walk.

Your choice, awful either way. Oh and all I can think of when I see that front...
