I was on the JM as well; genius said it could be to Denver by Friday. That seems exceptionally fast as I was thinking +/- a day from Aug 1.
Let us know when yours arrives! |

Finally picked mine up today -- took a week from port to dealer and I was busy all this week with training at work. Definitely worth the wait, it's a gem of a car to drive.
I had asked the dealer to leave on the protective wrap since I wanted to wash the car myself and prep to apply PPF and ceramic coating. Well, they kept the wrap on until yesterday when my CA had a day off. I guess one of the managers wondered why the car was still wrapped and sent it through the detail shop where they took all the wrap off, washed the car, and applied one of those gimmicky paint sealants (which I of course made them eat the cost on). Hopefully a Dawn wash and alcohol wipe will get that garbage off (I doubt it's much more than a spray wax). |

My initial (quick) thoughts: 1. LOVE the engine/power delivery 2. The engine/exhaust sounds amazing in sport + 3. Fit & Finish/looks exceed expectations in real life. 4. The suspension is quite harsh. It's not that it's stiff but I find it almost bouncy at times even going over the littlest crack/bumps. (I don't remember my STI, EVO or 370z being this harsh). 5. Handles like a dream * Here are couple pics from pick-up day. |

Beautiful. Today I learned that my car is being trucked over to Denver via Deluxe Auto Carriers. I called 909-746-0900, gave them the last 8 and they told me that my vehicle departed CA on Thurs at 7pm. Hoping it gets to Denver tomorrow!

How many miles have you put on her since picking up? I also took delivery on Saturday. I'm at around 230 miles already. I'm addicted to the driving experience and eager to break it in.

At 40 miles it popped a drivetrain warning, while accelerating half throttle to 5000 rpm. I took it right back and the CA put it into shipping mode and out and it cleared. Next day same thing on a pass. They picked it up on Monday of last week. “Needs a fuel rail sensor will be done Tuesday.” Tuesday comes “needs a HPFP will be ready Thursday”. Wednesday: “no HPFP in USA have to wait for Germany to send one, it will be next week”. Haven’t heard back. I’m on scheduled vacation now for this and next week. I expressed my dismay and they are “working on a solution to make me happy”. Car has 99.8 miles on it. Sigh.

That is disappointing to hear, I would be very annoyed, especially considering the cost of the car and that your money is already tied up. It's tough enough to justify a sports car toy as it is, even when they do work!

Word is my car is fixed, hopefully that’s the end of it. Won’t know for a week plus as I’m away on vacation.
