From what I understand, dealers can keep a portion of the rebate for themselves as profit.

Yeah. I am sure I could fight then about it but really didn't want to. Just showed what type of dealer they are.

For instance they wanted a 5k deposit if I wanted to order any other color besides white or if I wanted to order a manual..... because to it would be "harder to sell". B.S!

I just called them and they'll honor the USAA incentive as long as the incentive is still active when the car arrives, I believe the current $2k incentive is good until 1/2/2018.

But yes the deposit is $5k for the M2 and $2k for other BMW orders. Both pretty high from what I'm seeing on this board. Probably not an issue if you plan to put more than that down anyways.

Hmm. Good to know. But yeah they were quite adamant to me that the USAA discount didn't apply to the M2. Even after I explained that the site, in no uncertain terms, said that it does and that other dealers have already said they would honor it. They went so far as to say that they were going to get in touch with someone to change it etc....

Who did you talk to there? My POC was Bianca

Just call BMWNA and tell them that the dealer isn't honoring it...

Of course the USAA discount applies...it says 2 series + M on the documentation.

Well there actually may be some truth to that. A few dealers told me they'll honor it as long as there is one but currently there isn't one on the '18's. At least that's what the few dealers I've asked have said. One even sent me the BMW bulletin that lists all the eligible cars. Apparently that list gets updated regularly by BMW. '16 and '17 M2's are on the list but '18's are not.

There's currently a subset of other model '18's that are eligible but 2 and 3 series MY18 currently are not.

Correct but only for '16 and '17 model years at the moment. '18's are TBD.

BMW of Dallas - "We are asking $15k-$20k over sticker. We can get $10k over msrp all day long!"

Best place to buy any car in the DFW area is Autobahn BMW. Brian Hodge is the man. I bought my F80 through him and got the deal done over text in 2 hrs including getting finance rates. Came in and signed the papers in 30 minutes and drove away.

Same with the M2, shot him a text and got an allocation at MSRP within a couple of weeks. He also gave me a very fair trade in amount (details and pictures sent over text) that I respected it enough and didn't even try to negotiate for more. No mark ups, no haggling, no hassle, fast and easy. How is BMW of Dallas still in business?!

BMW of Vista

BMW of Vista, CA

$5K ADM on all M2's they had in stock.

I also inquired about placing an order for a MY18 at MSRP. The salesman said, "We sell them all day at $5k over, why would I sell them at MSRP?" In my head I was thinking, ummmm...then why do you have 2 that have been sitting here forever?!?!? hahaha dumb!

Needless to say don't waste your time with these guys. The dealership itself is probably one of the dumpiest ones I have ever set foot in, including non-BMW ones. I would be very worried sending my car in for service there.

BMW of Escondido also has a $5k ADM on the one they had in stock.

This..
If you are willing to search around and drive a bit, there are a good amount of dealerships selling at MSRP + honoring incentives.

I see some silly dealerships listing their in stock M2s at $70k+. But guess what, they are just sitting there. The M2 is still a sought after car, but no one is going to pay a premium for 2017s when 2018s are arriving and some dealers are taking orders for 2018s at MSRP.

As the months pass by, some folks are going to decide to wait for the next gen M2 which will likely get the S55 or a highly tuned B58 as base. I wouldn't be surprise if you start seeing some dealers offer some discounts off MSRP within the next 6 months or so.

I'm surprised at Center BMW, but it's all in who u deal with at the dealer though.

Internet sales is who you need to contact.

Not a surprise, BMW of San Francisco is asking 10k over MSRP for the M2c. 1 allocation (out of 5) left.

Also a BSM M2 sitting on the lot also with a 10k markup. :

Santa Monica and Ontario have stated they sell at MSRP. Irvine was willing to deal after telling them that. Had them down to MSRP if I was willing to wait just a little for a late Dec./early Jan. delivery

I was surprised honestly. When I had call prior they told me they don’t sell cars above Msrp. Got there and obviously was told different. Disappointing since I’ve bought multiple cars from there.

Oh well. It took less than 10 minutes to find a dealership near by willing to deal at MSRP. They got my business, and likely future business, instead.
