I had to test fit a few sets of 18s just to find one that can clear the brakes. So you are correct, 17s will not fit. I was going to go with 19s, but winters in 19s are ridiculously expensive and hard to find.

Here in Toronto the previous 2 weekends were warm enough to allow for hand washes, around 7C without much wind. I also pulled out the foam cannon last weekend. It was really nice to clean my 228 properly, between Christmas and New Years I did manage to run in through a touchless and then follow up with a rinse less in the garage but that was still pretty chilly at 2/3C.

MJJC foam lance w/ adapter for my washer. $35 on Amazon.ca and well worth the money!

Used Chemical Guys foam lance soap, about 30% soap, 70% hot water. Foam was very thick, like melting marshmallow fluff haha

PS: that clean is just foam lance too, did not use a mitt this time. Just rinse, foam lance, rinse, then into garage, and finished with a free flowing water rinse to avoid spots.

M2 wait times

Hey guys, was surprised to find a a Canadian channel so I just joined.

Ive had a deposit on the M2 both at London and Toronto dealerships since September 2016 so Im hoping ill be able to get one by end of summer or early fall

Though i was told 2017s are sold out so i have to wait for 2018 model. Just curious, as to peoples avg wait time from day of deposit to actual delivery.

Im really hoping it wont be more then a year wait all in. Any insight would be great, the dealerships are useless up this point in providing any tangible inf

Welcome! We also have the Canadian Deliveries thread, which is huuuuge now haha

An year's wait is about average now and indeed all the 2017's are sold out and 2018's sold out into late winter.

I'll throw in my experience, had put in a deposit April 2016, was told later on that year that the expectation for delivery would be April/May 2017. Towards the beginning of winter, I received a production update saying they are looking at late Feb, then in the new year got news that it was ahead of schedule. Took delivery Feb 2017 (so ~10 month wait). Maranello BMW was the dealership I dealt with.

Interesting...Thanks for the insight guys.. well my current lease ends October so I'm good to wait for a while and plus people do cancel sometimes which can move things sooner hopefully.

Btw where can i find the thread for Canadian deliveries? i Just see the four of them including this one

I placed my order April 2016 (9th on waitlist at "B" dealer) and was told April/May 2017. Some people dropped off and allocations were given. Mine arrived last Monday at Halifax Port and should be picking it up March 20th or sooner from the dealer. The last stretch has accelerated pain as compared to the beginning.

I placed a deposit in March 2016, ED delivery in May. If I hadn't wanted ED it might have been a bit quicker.

If you snoop around from dealer to dealer there's stuff out there. I was informed today of a white, manual available at Autohaus for late April delivery.

Anyone have any recommendations for a good coder that can work remotely in Canada? I'm running into a snag trying to code something (B&O amp coding) and think I need an expert.

gmzanatta, mind if I ask what pressure washer you use? I'm thinking about purchasing the mjcc foam lance as well but there are so many adapters, not sure which pressure washer is decent and has the fittings for the mjcc.

Honestly the fittings don't matter at all. What matters is the washer pressure. I have two of them: a low power small Karcher (1,600 psi, I prefer this for washing car, more control, smaller, weaker nozzle) and a high-pressure gas-powered washer (3,500 psi, brand escapes me now...).

The little Karcher could not make great foam - it was good, thick but only passable.

The high-pressure one made foam so thick I managed to get it to stick to the roof of my porch hahaha

In summary, get as much power as you can afford. The brand doesn't matter because it's just a 3/8" MNPT fitting so you can always fit another adapter on there.

PS: buy a LOT of soap. And I mean A LOT. This thing drinks more than a Canadiens fan after they win the cup.

hah...thanks for the comedic and informative post. Much appreciated, I will look for a higher PSI washer. haha.

I purchase my 2017 M2 at Otto's BMW Center in Ottawa and got it delivered on Dec 23, 2016, a BSM. I had it wrapped all the front and outside mirrors wrapped at Golding Auto Care for 600 and ceramic tinting on all the windows for the same price. Golding only does high end vehicles, limousines, and diplomat and govt vehicles. If you can drive to Ottawa, it maybe worth your drive....check them out in their website.

How about a picture? I've ordered MG and am thinking of switching to BSM. Such a tough call.
