Good call. Not sure if it's as fun as for me as the M2 but damn is it a fun car.

Sometimes low speeds are where it's at. For example cruising through heavily populated metro areas during the summer time so the ladies on the sidewalk can get a good look at you and your ride.

According to these journalists, the M2 is their pick for the "most fun at low speeds" category amongst some pretty vaunted sports cars.

IMHO - Miata has to be the most fun car at _any_ speed. It's fun even when in the parking lot.
M2 is a bit different - it involves your senses at a whole another level; starting with the intoxicating cold start exhaust that never gets old; there is a sense of occasion every single time you get in the car! Then, you have the amazing chassis, relentless front end grip, 6MT with rev match...urgg..I need to go for a drive now! |

The M2 is quite satisfying to drive at normal speeds. It's responsive and feels buttoned down at all times, and with the torque available at low rpm, it moves through traffic very nicely also. For comparison's sake, I formerly drove a 2013 Boss 302 as my daily driver. While it was ferocious and an absolute blast to drive hard, it was very little fun to drive in a socially acceptable manner.

How about whether or not to shuffle steer ??? : @c63er in my opinion, the M2 is fun at all speeds, just like the 1M.... it just lacks the steering feel of the 1M. In a vacuum an M2 owner that has never owned a 1M wouldn't complain, the electric steering in the M2 is superior to the M4 I do find that it is interesting that some people feel the transmission choice can be a factor. |

I would say nothing beats a Caterham Super 7 for a fun ride at lower speeds. At 50 mph you feel as if you're doing double that and the responsiveness is quite incredible. The noise, the wind, the buffeting... children laughing when they see it... even dogs look at it.
