Question Questions on 2 iDrive settings...

Hey folks -

Picked up my LBB 6MT today. AMAZING CAR. Reminds me so much of the E46 ZCP I just sold. And the exhaust is SOOOO nice. Love it.

I'm wondering 2 things about the iDrive settings:

- Is there a way to have the seat automatically slide back when the vehicle is turned off, and vice versa when it is started?

- And is there a way to easily see what driving mode you're currently in? (Comfort/Sport/Sport+) and also is there a way to have the car default to always starting in Sport?

Thanks!

No, maybe someone can figure out how to get that coded.

Someone who has theirs already can confirm but your mode should be displayed below the tach in the extended display. To start in sport will prob need to be coded but I haven't seen anyone posted a way to do this yet.

Congrats!!

Just got an X1 recently and seriously tempted to order the M2 but it's a lengthy wait now. Very envious of you!

In response to your questions,

1. This can be done but only by coding. I have this feature activated on my X1 and it's great. Seat slides back when engine is off and door is opened. Slides forward upon re-entering and closing door.

2. Save one of your presets (1-8 buttons) to show the iDrive screen "Driving mode" so you can go to that screen with one press. Don't think you can configure to start in Sport though (unless the M2 is different).

I was very sad to see my e46 go - but take my word. You will be blown away by the M2.
