As mentioned previously it fits them all. No difference.

Added them today. Makes sense to get bottom part fitted first then work from the middle upward then down again.

Incrementally quieter with some frequencies, obviously can't do anything for tyre roar which is still present in this car with one piece of sound insulation

I got both for £20 so no harm no foul.

I just order my door seals on MY21 m2c from ECS. Right now they have a father's day sale if you are trying to bump up the price to $50 for free shipping.

The extra item I added was the 6.5L fluid extractor.

So yeah, installing them was okay, bit of a squeeze. Took me around 10 minutes per side. I do notice a small difference in cabin noise, so imho they're worth it.

Does not fit, because it is not standard on the M2. Does fit on the M2 CS because it was not there.

After all this time has anyone done IATs with spirited/track driving to see if these door seals make any difference?

Why would door seals affect IATs?

Some people were suggesting bmw left these seals off on purpose to increase engine bay ventilation… I don't believe it's true but would be cool to test this idea with perhaps IAT measurements with and without these door seals

That the air would come out that way and finally escape thru the 3mm gap of the door and the front panel? I’m sure now that it’s sealed in that aspect it’s reducing …but is that measurable? Probably not. Just like the effect of its perceived reduction of noise in the cabin.

Would I recommend doing this now, having installed these? Not likely. I agree with the other comments that the engine noise of the M2 is what I like better, so much so that I don’t listen to the upgraded stereo that much when I’m in this car. My performance downpipe provides the sounds I want.

FYI these slide in way easier if you use some type of lube, like some quick detailer spray or waterless wash, something ok for paint.

Yeah I tend to agree with that. However, the small gap can add to a significant total area since it runs all the way from top to bottom. Also, the fact that the M2 doesn't have a real fender vent instead of a closed off emblem, does make me wonder about the functionality of that seal-less gap

I suspect their absence is more of a cost cutting/containment function- just like all of the other 2-Series soundproofing that's missing in the M2C.

Considering the part is like $14 retail, meaning it cost BMW a couple dollars at most, I think most likely it got lumped in with the totality of sound deadening reduction in the name of making the car more "raw." Which is completely ridiculous, but that's the kind of decision BMW would make.
