Though BMW pixelized the picture (as long as not officially revealed), it gives away that the M2 CS in question features the standard M Sport Brake (code 2NH - red calipers). Other pixelized M2 CS pictures should show the M-CCB (code 2NK - yellow calipers).

Invitation release new M model

I also received an invitation for the release on 17 September in Brussels.

I also immediately thought of the new M3 but considering they are talking about a "limited edition" at the bottom of their message, it will be the M2 CS.

I certainly hope that we do not get to see the M4 edition M heritage ...

Do they typically discuss price when taking reservations?

Ps - the M2 CS will be a real deal car especially with the CFRP roof, CS wheels and CCBs. That said no need to rush into a pre-order. They will sit and gather dust on showroom floors at MSRP plus for many months. Then you will be able to pick one up after the initial hype if you choose.
My exact plan...

Yes they are now starting to show the M2 CS to prospective buyers hope you don't see the Misano Blue with Gold Wheels.

I doubt that will be the case with the M2 CS, partly because the M2 has been such a success and partly because this will be the only CS in the lineup with 6MT. But even if you're right, I spec my cars. I'm not interested in a dealer-specced car off the lot. You may save money off of MSRP, but it's on a car you wouldn't have ordered.

Yes agreed. Dealers do not know how to spec cars.

You can also spec the car as late in the process as possible and then save a few bucks. I specked one of the last build 3CS cars, agreed to MSRP and put a deposit down. By the time car came in (Nov 2018) discounts on existing showroom floor cars were everywhere. My dealer knocked $11k off my price without me really trying. Got best of both - my spec and $ savings.

No more room or money for cars but otherwise I'd take a M2 CS with 6MT and CCBs and no other options.

BTW - Your white E92 was the cleanest spec I've seen in a long time.

If ur going to track the car skip the CCBs.
If ur going to weekend drive and hard park then CCBs are a must. Reduces unsprung weight which is noticeable while driving, looks bad ass, they will last forever, and no brake dust.

Given the recent BMW designs, one would think that people with no aesthetic tastes are the primary market for the brand, so blue with gold wheels should be perfect.

I'm hearing that CCB longevity is less than what's being stated as expected. That's an expensive gamble when an AP Racing kit is the same price. I have no personal experience with CCB.

The lack of brake dust would be nice.

I think the big rotors and brakes also have more chance of getting rocks stuck and scratching up the inside if the rims, due to low clearence between the two

Personally prefer Black with Gold Wheels. For Misano? Black wheels please.
