Yes it fits. I am currently using mine from 228 in my M2. However it's the sport line cargo mat

For about the same price I got

fuller boot floor coverage;
fits better;
feels/looks like higher quality;
more robust material;
guides to hole/slot/slit if you want to still use extended storage mat on the boot floor

Made in the US. Very high quality apparently.
I'll be getting one and also front footwell mats from WeatherTech.

Color only. I can assure you mine looks exactly like the red one.
51472357214 (Black Basic) looks exactly like the "Sport", just has the piping in grey. I am very happy with the quality. It's sturdy and rubberized, stops my trunk organizer from sliding around and gives me the protection I was looking for. The BMW side flaps are a nice touch since you can use them as a pocket to hold small/loose items. It looks a lot better than Red in my AW M2. I would have considered Weathertech but I had a dealer credit to use... no regrets.

Any one have photos of the WeatherTech mats installed? Have them in the wife's Q5 and while the fronts are great, the backs leave a little to be desired.

Know this is an old thread, but I just got an OEM mat, part number 51472357214 and this is what it looks like. All black with no side flaps. Not sure if it's a European thing, but I'm happy with it, as prefer all black anyway as it matches my black sapphire M2

I think I still have one of these things (it came with the car, and I took it out). Too bulky to ship, but if someone local wants to buy it, let me know.

RDU area of NC.

I've used the BMW cargo mat (and all weather mats) in my E36, E46s and most recently my 135i. I always thought they were perfect for me so I ordered the 2-series equivalents for my OG M2. Wow, they are a much cheaper quality, weight and fit. A real disappointment.

I have the same Mazda-branded accessories for my 2017 and 2019 Mazdas (daughter/wife) and they are much higher quality -- twice as heavy, deep channels and a tight fit. And they cost the same as the BMW ones.

Now I understand why folks prefer WeatherTech.

Sub. Need to find something for my 21 M2C trunk that works with the extended storage option which appears to be just a cargo net in the center.
