Bootmod3 Throttle Response Sensitivity Update

Seems pretty cool. I've always felt the comfort mode could be a little less touchy for the first 5% to make it easier for us 6MT drivers. The revs just pick up so fast, I find myself giving it more of a tap-off-roll on than the steady smooth tip in like most other cars prefer. Sport/sport+ is an on/off button and makes smooth shifts damn near impossible to make without actively thinking about it. Much of my passion for this car is the human-machine symphony and that's impossible with a hair trigger pedal!

Anybody get to try it out yet?

Anyone know how it works?

Can it make eco/comfort/sport response the same and equally altered across the board?

Adjustability is great because everyone is different. I personally can’t stand the lag comfort has stock and prefer the more sensitive Sport/Sport+ mapping.

Feels more like a NA car to my brain wiring which is what I prefer.

Interesting comments from the OP. I personally get very annoyed with comfort on the first 10 minutes of my drive as I let the car warm up because the initial throttle travel gives you so little power (although I am not in an MT car).

I would actually like an update that would allow me to dial more throttle sensitivity in on comfort because that would make warm up easier with the comfort transmission behavior which naturally keeps revs under 3,000 for most driving on my commute.

With sport I end up having to shift myself because it will exceed 3,000 with the car stone cold.

I couldn't see this section in BM3 my configuration. Is this for M2 also?

I never look at these updates because I leave well enough alone. I prefer the Sport mapping, as Comfort feels heavy and laggy to me, and Sport+ feels too sensitive/jerky. If I had it my way I'd have them all feel like Sport.

And I have to do something with this 91 octane Stage 2 OTS burble thing, it's just too damn aggressive for me. I love the burbles, but they're too much at this point.

Damn bm3 with all these useful options Vs MHD!

I Def feel comfort should be halfway to sport in sensitivity.

Yeah I feel you, BM3 is making major leaps and bounds in terms of features!

I am now considering a switch over, since in the beginning the ceiling looked higher for MHD as they announced flex fuel and such really early on. But now BM3 has not only caught up but exceeded them in terms of features (from what I can tell).

Just set the burbles from OTS to custom and play around with the features. I have them turned completely off. There's the rare moment where I wish I had them, but 99% of the time they were just way too aggressive with the high flow cat and Dinan exhaust open.

I don't want to mess with it, but I guess I have to.

The easiest way is just to set it to "off" in the menu. Drive it around like that for a few days and see if you miss them. I really don't at this point.

Ive never seen this menu I will have to look for it.

Is this the same as reducing the Boost by Gear... which I did bc 1st and 2nd were but too much for me to get smooth shifts in the manual after the tune.

No. Throttle Position and Boost Target are different parameters.

Anyone try this yet? Mostly just want to adjust Sport+ so that it's similar to Sport, but iirc the overall throttle mapping curve is just different between the modes in general. I wonder if it's still going to feel really awkward (spiky at first, then drops off), despite reducing it by a set percentage.

MHD just don't seem as hungry as BM3.

I also partially agree with the OP. With the manual transmission the throttle is way too touchy (stage 2 93) on sport and sport+ mode during takeoff. It's like you barely make contact with the throttle and the car jerks around. I have been driving stick my whole life and I find it the most difficult to take off smoothly in this car. I end up having to give couple of taps to the throttle and then start releasing the clutch to avoid jerking as opposed to slowly easing into it.

I will try this reduction feature and see if it helps. Planning to drop by 5% in sport and sport + modes.
