Have been there to inspire the new M2C, but I will visit BMW Welt Monday again.
Will keep you posted.

Yes a little bit - currently we're screwed about pollen and dust in Germany.

Damn HS is mindf**king us... This is how I remember HS under the studio light... Immensely changing color when the light changes and the ability of swapping between a matte finish and showing the sparcle. The wheels are nice in silver, but I think it would maybe be better in full black...

I am happy it is in Welt, which means I can make my final decision in two weeks time when I am there. Also good for me to see the DCT after I saw the manual.

For the people that are going there. Please share your thoughts, you are one of the few people who saw the car live now. What do you think? I would love to discuss your thoughts now that you have seen it live like me and not just on photos.

Take a look at around 2:11 for a walkaround video of the M2C at BMW Welt.

Five ways how I can retrieve the VIN of my 2016 M2 when inside my car (a VIN decoder only requires the last 7 characters to display all the specs of the car):
  • Method 1: my car documents
  • Method 2: windscreen plaque - driver's side (only if the car features option 8SM "VIN visible from outside" and not taped off)
  • Method 3: inscription inside the engine bay - passenger side.
  • Method 4 (iDrive): click the "Menu" button on the iDrive, "Settings", "Software update", "Show current version", "Vehicle ID: ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆"
  • Method 5 (iDrive): click the "Menu" button on the iDrive, "Settings", "Connections", "Bluetooth", then click the "Option" button on the iDrive, "Bluetooth information", "System information", "Vehicle ID no. (VIN): ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆"

Did not like the M2C until I saw the above photo of LBB with black wheels. Now I’m in love!

I would probably still opt for no decals if I was getting the M2C but man are those way better than the M decals for the normal M2. Looks good on the Hockenheim Silver.

Truthfully hate those wheels but this is the first modern bmw I'm interested in owning. Hopefully I can grab one in the used market. In 6speed of course

I agree.. I personally would do the wheel in black for two reasons:
1) I just prefer the sport, stealth nature of black wheels. I don't like silver or chrome or any sort of shiny color on my wheels anymore. To me, it distracts from the beauty of a sports car's body. There's a reason why people put poor quality, silver/chrome wheels on cheap cars...to draw attention away from the actual car. Silver wheels can look great, but I just prefer black or gunmetal nowadays. Just my opinion...

2) On these particular wheels, cleaning brake dust is going to be a bitch. Black will hide it better on the days I'm not obsessing over cleanliness.

The wheels will be very painful to clean, I'm banishing the thought from my brain...
