I use mine for aftermarket installs and routine maintenance (oil changes mostly). I love it because I can get my car up in the air in about 2 minutes. It's so effortless now that I don't hesitate to put it up in the air if it'll make a job easier. I leave it down and pushed together underneath the car and just park over it when I pull in my garage everyday. That's also another big benefit for me since there is less to put up when I'm done with a job.

I do use it from time to time to remove the wheels to clean them fully as well as the callipers and arch liners.

I use mine for wheel/tire changes (stock wheels to auto-x set and back), oil changes, cleaning, etc.
I took a similar approach as one of the folks above and mounted heavy-duty hooks to a 2x6 bolted to wall studs and just hang them up when they aren't in use. Cheers

I ended up getting a 5000slx 12V Quickjack the other day as Costco had a deal and I got a pricematch.
Now time to swap over the RE71R's and get started on suspension parts one of these days. Still waiting for my coilovers. Maybe two weeks if shipments start rolling through.

Actually, the air cylinders are only really needed when you are bedding in the QuickJacks. I had also been frustrated with 1 frame never holding air for longer than 24 hours while the other would usually hold for a week or so, when I reached out to support they told me to not bother with them anymore. For the last 2 years of use I haven't checked or filled up the air cylinders anymore, they are only needed for getting the frames to fully lower/collapse and the frames do completely lower for me without issue.
Also, quick tip, if you ever struggle to connect the hydraulic lines into the pump unit because the quick-connects are solid, just press the "down" button on the remote. Usually after disconnecting the lines there'll still be pressure built up in the pump unit that makes reconnecting the lines very difficult so simply release it with the remote. |

Good to know. Unfortunately I only have a crappy $3 ball pump and that's not going to cut it. I need the compressor for the air tools and small paint jobs so not a big deal.

I bought the 7000ext for my Challenger and truck. I'm looking forward to using it with my M2.

Just finished putting together my QuickJack this weekend. 3 things that people that get one should know
1. Bleeding air out will take a couple of times to do 2. Make sure you have the same amount of air pressure in both canisters if one is off a bit from the other they will not raise and lower at the same rate 3. Remember to keep the valve screw open on the pump reservoir when operating the unit. |

I've been looking to get a 7000 because it is the only one that works with an X3M, but I wasnt excited by rotating it 90 degrees to use on my M2 |

Out of curiosity, I measured the QJ at 76" then measured between the tires at the points where I think I would need room to fit it and there's 83"-84" so it should work fine assuming the car's lift points are within the range of adjustment of the QJ which I don't see why they wouldn't be.
Definitive test possibly tomorrow afternoon, but definitely this weekend.

I realized that I forgot that I owed an update on the 7000EXT.
It fits! That said, the lift blocks have to both be at their minimum spacing, but plenty of contact on the cars pads. Don't know if the pictures show up well, this is all from my phone in the garage right now.

I came across your post by accident, but was very intrigued by your comments on a self install of the Auto Solutions short shifter kit. Your post was a while back, did you do the install? Was it difficult? |

Yes, I did the install with my Quick Jack. The Auto Solutions install was not very difficult. Just a lot of work overall.Intermediate mechanic skill should be all it takes. There is a lot of information, and video on how to do it on the M2 Forum. Anyone with good wrenching skills can do it.Taking off undercarriage panels and partially removing Drive Shaft are half the work. Not difficult at all. It was by far the best Mod I did with my M2. Everytime you shift you can appreciate the effort of installing it.

Quick Jack
Anyone who owns one should realize that it has lube holes that need to be oiled regularly. If not they will seize due to rust and prevent jack from coming down all the way to floor.
