Last year the pricing guide also showed that, but the tires did not change. I don't think they will this time either.

As for the ZSP Special Order code, that has been around since MY16 and me and the dealer never figured out what it was for... Crazy how it now costs $4,000 more than my MY16 |

How is the adaptive LED headlights any necessary? My dealer recommended against it since it didn't change anything for look and aesthetic and it wasn't worth 1000$...

Dealer sent me a nifty video showing what it does... seems cool, but for my needs, I probably don't see much value. I rarely do highway driving (or even use my high beams)

Correct. Adaptive Xenon were included in MY2017.
MY2017 was base $63K. I think there was a mid-year price bump earlier this year... $800? So the MY2018 price bump is $1400... if I am remembering the price bump correctly. |

I thought you could code in the adaptive high beam assist option?? This is the case on my MY14 F30 (Bi-Xenons, not LEDs). Hardware and cameras were there, but the functionality is "off" by default for cars in North America, so you can just change the coding to turn it "on". Is the $1,000 for the hardware (i.e. camera)? Either way unless you live/drive with the cows...not a very useful feature. Urban areas are usually well lit.

The adaptive is headlights that turn with the steering... to give you better coverage around curves. Works in both low beams and high beams. |

so.... just emailed the dealership about this and here was the response...
"Adaptive LED are the lights that are on a swivel. They pivot as you turn the steering wheel to provide better lighting in corning situations. It is a hardware thing. I'm not sure what the ZSP implies. Maybe some sort of special demands on delivery of the vehicle." lol, well if you're not sure what it's for, maybe you should look it up...I might want to give you another $400!! Millennials. Waste of skin. P.S. I have the adaptive swivel lighting on my F30...barely notice it in the city...def not worth $1,000 |

The new 2018 4 series LCI also has Bi LED's as standard and they have a totally different design than the Adaptive LED's.They still have the traditional full circular corona rings, where the Adaptive LED's have the new semi circular design. |

I do believe the headlights are a different design. Regular LED is the traditional semi round haloes, while the adaptive LED have angular haloes.

Thanks for posting the full PDF of the ordering guide. It would have been nice to actually see a picture of the standard Bi LED headlights. They also show new interior trim with chrome application, which I guess is a mistake because the carbon fiber interior trim is still listed as a standard feature. They also say that the base price has increased by $1700 but it is actually only $800.The base price for the MY17 M2 is currently $64,400 and the new MY18 price is $65,200.At least BMW Canada does include some pictures in the ordering guide.
