The problem with the M2C, aside from the real world drive away price, is that torque. One of the reasons why I find my M2 so sweet to drive is it’s ability to put power down. With those 550nm on the rear, that will be compromised. My M3 struggles with grip up to third gear, and it has 10mm wider tyres.

No the charger is in the center console the same as the current model from my understanding.
Offical pricing is still not released, but I believe the dealers know what it is. I have paid a deposit and have a contract signed and if rrp is below they will adjust the price down. Nope, decided not too as I don't plan to spend too much time on the track. Quote:
What I would say regarding pricing is that it in my mind there is no point comparing the RRP of the M2C to the current run-out discounts on the M2, you need to compare it to what the M2 sold for 12 months ago. |

Is just under $6k normal for “dealer delivery”. It’s the M2 Comp so I guess it may be (much) trickier than normal. Any advice appreciated. Thx.

When I was looking at the M2C the delivery was just over $2K so that's ridiculous. I have a point of never paying dealer delivery as it's already factored into the price to get it into the country. You may not be able to negotiate out of it on the M2C but don't pay $6K. Shop around.

I think some would find sharing the price uncomfortable if they got a good discount on it for what ever reason or may of over paid etc but it would be great to know what the base price on the contract is listed at.
From what I know the BMW contract does not alter the base price but has another line item called "drive away allowance" which is a negative value. Well this is the case for my last two BMW's. So anyone willing to share

I know they aren't really comparable as a complete car, but interestingly I've seen a M140 dip into the 7s for 100-200kph with just a DP and Blue Spark piggy back. |

I've seen 7's although it's with PS2 and not stock turbo.

And yes, you might be able to negotiate a “drive away allowance”. Not anything large at this time as anyone buying one clearly wants one very much and sort of has this tattooed on their head ;-) It’s not a lot different in price than the e36 M3 I bought 20 years ago. But about 100x a better car. So it’s a bit of a bargain. |

Looks like official pricing will be out soon. The bmw.com.au pricing configurator now has a slot for the M2C, but it disappears as soon as you put a postcode in

It’s all a mystery. But this is the number I mean.
Mine’s supposed to be being built around now too. Does that mean yours gets here “late September early October” too? |

That’s it. Sale price is inc. GST. on my contract. So before all the taxes, taxes and more taxes we get a high spec car for ~US$65k. |
