My F80 has it too...slightly smaller, but still pretty big for a exhaust can.

Even the E92 M3 had a pretty large udder, but not as big as the F80's.

Have you seen the new Joe Achilles video, where he puts an aftermarket exhaust on his M2C? The really strange thing for me to come out of that video is the large amount of empty space above the stock muffler...so why does the damn thing hang down so low?

I saw that too. Strange that they would put the camo tape down the crease like that, no??

Wonder if they punched a hole through there...but then how are the "testing" it with it covered up, lol!

I believe it's because EU cars have an additional filter for emissions requirements that is in that space.

I think many people guessed that, but it doesn’t seem to be the case.

Those are further up the exhaust line, towards the engine - the can size doesn’t seem to be related to the OPFs.

'Udderification': the exhaust layout will inevitably be different for the European M2 CS because of the Real Driving Emissions (RDE) EU legislation.

By the way, for RDE test results released in the meantime by BMW about the M2 Competition: see here (in the "PEMS Test Search" section, select "BMW" and "M2Competition", click "Search" and subsequently click "Download XLSM" to download an XLSM file with BMW data).

Funny you mention that, I was just behind an E92 M3 today and I just now noticed that it has a low hanging muffler also but not as noticeable as the M2C.
Now I can't unsee that now

The only saving grace is that I don't believe that "Uttergate" will be an issue with the next generation M2 (G), simply because I have a sneaking suspicion that it will come equipped with a stout B58. So there's that..

If you're right will the M2C become worthless like the OG has?

That's a polarizing question..

I wouldn't necessary say that the M2 is 'worthless' but the S55 does have more power potential, cooling and fuel delivery system.

To be honest, the M2 N55 does have enough power to take the vehicle to dangerous and scary levels of speed, without any hesitation.

I honestly have never stepped on it and felt like I need more power but I guess if you're dogging it on a track, you might meet the motor's limitations, as some have claim.

I don't believe the new M2 will be needing anything more than the B58, which everyone have been raving about since its inception. Especially if a B58 M2 would keep the price in a somewhat realm of affordability (under 60k).

So no, absurd HP/TQ bragging rights aside, it won't be worthless with a built B58, IMO.

Dunno, based on what I've read hereabouts the spiral is pretty quick and I'm very impatient.

I want my M2C for free sooner rather than later...

I think if the next m2 comes with a b58 it will make m2c prices depreciate much slower as the b58 is a downgrade to most over the s55.

In a way, I guess you're right..

But it would be a built B58, not the run of mill version currently in the 240/Z4. I'm sure it would be able to stand on it's own as a 'M motor.'

I just can't see them using the new S58 plus its related hardware and yet still keeping the price in check.

Why is all this so surprising. Same formula as M3 CS. But with a manual.

Yep. Should be one hell of a car if the M3CS is any indication.

It's a shame the shifter is hiding the potential button for adaptive suspension! Can anyone tell if the stitching color is blue or white?

Well the arm rest is definitely blue but the seat bolster nearest the camera looks white

Maybe it’s just because it is a mule and using different parts that aren’t representative of the production model.
