M Performance Gloss carbon fiber trim on steering wheel (like rest of interior). I put the open weave matte carbon fiber trim on my M2C.

Akrapovic exhaust and link pipes installed today by Torrent Motors in NY. Great looking and sounding pipes. And Tico's shop did a great job installing. The original exhaust not only looks crappy but also weighs a ton.

Looks and I'm sure sounds great. Any idea about how many lbs you saved? That could be the deciding factor for me. I think as sound goes, my EL AA mid pipe will do the trick but if I could save another 20 lbs..it might be worth swapping the muffler also. My plans were paint only

Did this come with a valve controller/remote? Did you need to remap the ECU to prevent a check engine light? |

Is it possible with these aftermarket exhaust options to use the factory valve actuators to maintain the factory logic? My preference is to not have a remote.

Most of the valved exhausts just use the actuators moved over from the stock exhaust, so to answer your question... yes.

Thanks. So does the actuator just override the factory logic if you decide to use the remote, but defaults to factory if not "activated" with remote? I have no experience with them so I thought you had to always use the remote to select a valve position.

I've used a VSC-2 which basically plugs in-line with the stock plug and if you press the button, it overrides the OEM controller and opens up the valves. If you hit the button again, it reverts back to OEM control. Other valve controllers might work differently, but this one was simple and worked well. You can also order it to always be open or closed and pressing the button goes to OEM control (or open, or closed)... pretty much however you want it to be configured.

Also - any check engine lights or coding needed as a result? I hear the EU folks with OPF have to code the car when doing this set up

Going in for full PPF tomorrow and then I can drive it a little more.
I've already done iND reflector delete, black badge and matte red M1 and M2 buttons, 80mm stud conversion and clutch slave cylinder/CDV delete. When it gets back from PPF I'll do my axxeon lip protection and cf splash guards. 10mm spacers in hand but not sure if I wanna put those on yet.

Appreciate you posting a video with sound for the vehicle under load. I despise the free revving videos because the exhaust sounds completely different. Who sits around free revving the engine all the time???
