I don't even do that and no one has ever said a word...I really don't think they care about minor insignificant coding changes like that - I think they're mostly concerned with major things like engine tuning, drivetrain mods, etc. - the items that are expensive to fix/replace...

Bimmercode - Start in Sport+ or Sport?
Does this functionality exist on F87 models? I saw an option to start in Sport+ on demo mode, but not in the actual environment.

These might help you. Exact locations vary by model but should be close. coding change needed to upgrade 6.5” display to 8.8” for f48 with NBT evo ID6 Using Bimmercode in expert mode HU NBT 3005 display_pip_config section Change CID_Display_res from 800x480 to 1280x480 Change CID_Display_ size from 6.5 to 8.8 Now go out and enter 3001 section and find Display_Variante and change from schmal (German for narrow) to breites (wide) Now go into Nav section Find Display_Resolution and change from 800x480 to 1280x480 In brief 4 coding changes in 3 separate section of NBT HU ecu All changes require expert mode. Screen works after first two code changes, nav will work also but you need to change res in nav section to get full screen effect in map view and finally section 3005 change is needed otherwise idrive home screen will only show two menu icons (like in 6.5 display) rather than 3. I checked all other differences between option SA6UN nav and SA6UP Nav plus It would appear than to get final full Nav plus functionality (excluding hud and touch controller) for CID , you may need to disable arrow view, it appears twice in lists in HU_NBT 3000 HMI once in English as arrow view and also Pfeil ansicht. Looking at functionality differences between the two; SA6UP has assistance window and SA6UN has arrow view (both show route arrows as pop up window on side of map) both views have same info but different layout. And my NBT evo ID6 menu has option to turn arrow view on or off I have left this for the moment. I may play and see if changing arrow view code to not activate then gives me assistance window - Final update< after long journey, functionality just appeared in nav menu. Looks like delay in coding effect in the nav software section. Hope this helps Mark |

Also would love to know this.
Honestly wish there was a repository of common things in BimmerCode and how to do them. Searching through 50+ page threads on various forums is NOT fun.

Hi all. Curious if anyone has been able to change the auto high beams to be able to illuminate from any speed. Normally I think that it won't let the high beams turn on until you're going 20 or 30, something like that. Thanks in advance.

My car is garaged for winter atm but I'll wager that I too can no longer change this value because I had a firmware update not too long ago so ya...your 2018 is most likely not possible. |

What OBD port Bluetooth adaptors does everyone recommend for the M2C? I'll be using an iPhone and iMac for BimmerCode. I'm UK based also and I've read that some adaptors only unlock most features in the US so it would be helpful to know which adaptors are more UK friendly and still allow foe unlocking the most features on BimmerCode.
Cheers, Karl

Then Veepeak BLE, can highly recommend that for various reasons. For constant data you might expect occasional connection losses. But never had a problem while coding. Can be plugged in all the time, auto stand-by and resume, very nice. Ordered an OBDLink MX+ few days ago, not yet received. Should be faster and more reliable connection that Veepeak, but also three times the price. So for most of the users i'd say Veepeak BLE is the way to go, especially for its price 👍🏼 UK/US/EU friendly? Never heard of something like that.

I believe the answer is a hard NO. As far as I know, this is not something that can be coded; it's at a different level. I think an ECU flash might need to be done. I believe part of it has to do with BMW meeting emissions standards. Don't get me wrong, I'd love for the car to start in the defaults I choose (steering, engine), but last I checked, it was not possible. I just got into the habit of pushing the start button, and pushing other buttons as part of the start-up sequence
