If I remember correctly, Valencia Orange was a brand new color used as the launch color for the 1M. It has since been used in other non M models, but at least the baby M did it first. With the M2, not only will it launch with a color already used by another M model, but it will launch with a color already used by a non M model. The X4 M40i will hit western shores earlier than the M2.

Let me know your thoughts once you see a LBB X6M.

I saw one at the dealership the other day and literally turned around, got out my car just to walk around it.

The color is honestly beautiful in person.
I've seen an x6m and x5m in long beach blue. The first was at the LA auto show. I've seen each car outside as well. Each time I was completely underwhelmed. Unlike most people on here only in love with these photographs, I know what the color will really look like and it's not a color I would want. It is unfortunate that this is the only flashy color and a lot of people want a flashy M car.

My big fear buying an M2 on faith is that it'll sound as bad as they do.

"If you go for the 7-speed, you're gonna get the same naught to sixty mile per hour time as the M4."

Any M4 fans care to discuss this little nugget of information?
LOL.

LOL.

He's just saying the official 0-62 mph times.

M2 7-speed M-DCT = 4.3 seconds.

M4 6-speed manual = 4.3 seconds.

I'm with you on this. I've seen the M2 in person and LBB is just not nice at all. I fear too many people are going to buy this color based on these pics and be disappointed when they see it in person.

I'm still in the mineral gray camp.

All they have to do is look at this pic at BMWNA,of an F30 in Estoril Blue 2 next to the Long Beach Blue M2.This is one of the few pics that have been posted on here, that show what Long Beach Blue really looks like IMO.

Just the opposite for me. It's absolutely a color I would want if I decide to procure an M2.

I saw a freshly washed LBB X6m at the car dealer and that sealed the deal for me..Outside of Imola Red, its my favorite BMW color.

Flashy? Yah it is. But for me it was tasteful and vibrant.

i just can't get over the square-ish look in the front bumper. It's like they forgot to smooth it out

LBB is just so damned 1994. A metallic teal? Really?

I don't want a car in a color that reminds me of a sports team -- particularly one I could care less about or don't want to be equated as a fan of. (This is why, despite Valencia Orange's appeal, I won't ever consider it while living in Texas. I'm decidedly not a Longhorns fan.)

It is very deep tone. No rasp. I don't think the DB is higher than S55, but it is a much better tone.

I have MPE with AA mid pipe and I really like this setup. I thought the full MPE sounds much better than stock, but with AA mid pipe it becomes more like the M2 sound. Deeper with minimal rasp. The M2 sounds much different than the M3/4. I will be surprised if people complain too much about the M2 sound.

You're that upset because we are talking about which color we like? Sometimes I forget the purpose of these forums. Are we just supposed to sit back and blow the thing all day?

No, you aren't the only one, the rest of us just don't feel the need to rehash the same points in every thread on this board.
