Drivetrain malfunction (after installing vrsf charge pipe )
Hi I have been running dinansport tuner on my m2 2016 for about a year without any issues.
Few days back my charge pipe failed , and decided to install the vrsf charge pipe to avoid the same issue happening again. As soon as I drove the car and pushed it , drive train malfunction notification came on the screen and the car went to limp mode .turned the car off , waited for some time , and as soon as I pushed again same issue occured. I scanned it with an OBD 2 device and error code p007b showed. I googled it and it says "Charge Air Cooler Temperature Sensor Circuit Range" After that I set the dinan sport tuner to stock map, and the issue never happened again. Question is why was the car able to handle the extra boost with the stock charge pipe , but not with the VRSF charge pipe , any ideas ?? Thanks |

I've gotten all kinds of weird codes with my Dinan sport tuner that went undiagnosed. I leave it off now since it's speculated to be the culprit.

Definitely the Dinan Sport Tuner. Had no issues at track until I installed that thing. Then all kinds of issues at track (never had problem on street). After I removed it and went to a dedicated tune - not a piggyback unit, everything has been great.
