Yes that is true, if I set the Öhlins to their almost stiffest setting... it gets worse

I had a rattle in the back seat that was driving me crazy - my wife swore it was coming from the driver side, I swore it was coming from the passenger side. We checked the seat anchors and both seemed ok. Turned out that one of the plastic screws holding the third brake light interior cover on was loose. Pulled it out for now and all is well. I'll have the dealer reinstall the screw at my break-in service. Just another place to check if anyone is having rear deck rattles.

So the car was in for the second attempt on the puma issue around the right hand side A pillar.

The rattle has been weaker and not as frequent since the summer temperatures arrived but after the fix I haven't yet heard it even once. Keep your fingers crossed.

They also fixed a new and extremely frequent rattle from the back seat, it was something about the leather between the foldable middle section and the seat backs. Or something...

Interesting thread. I probably have one of the oldest M2s on the board here. Second one ever delivered to the performance center in SC. Picked it up on April 22, 2016. No rattles whatsoever that I can hear. This car is buttoned down tight as a drum. Of course I only have 10k miles on it, but it's still rattle free. On top of it I live in the home of crappy roads - Chicago metro.

Mine is almost new <1700 miles and is a rattle box. Glovebox area, passenger seat and door panel. Rear cargo deck. I also have a ton of audio feedback while using Bluetooth.

just started getting a rattle in the back seat at about 8000km it only happens when i go over a bump, super annoying. I tried putting the seats down and it didn't fix it. I'm going to have to take her in.

Something in/on/around the driver's door is rattling a little bit but that's about it. It's not surprising to me considering how (relatively) firm the suspension is. I'll mention it when I take the car in for its next service but I'm not terribly concerned or bothered by it. I have about 2500 miles on the car now but it's been rattling since I first drove it off the lot.

A couple on mine.

A small creak coming from the area of the OBD port cover, not overly fussed about this one.

Started getting a resonance / frequency sound from the passenger area at 1200-1300 RPM. Ironically got it on the way to getting the MPE fitted, so was there beforehand.

Just got to pinpoint this one, hard as hell trying to get the right RPM and lean across pushing things!!!

Just one rattle left to fix now. It's coming from the lights and buttons panel in the roof.

Oh, since I stumbled across this thread I wanted to say where I found the root cause of my rattle:

It was inside the passenger headrest. Now the hard part is getting it to make the noise in front of the dealer since I doubt they'll take my word that it's coming from inside the passenger headrest and I would like it replaced.

I had a rattle that was coming from the passenger area. It was very difficult to localize and seemed to be temperature dependent.

When warm, no rattle. Was able to duplicate it for the tech during a ride along at 1 year service. Fortunately it was a cooler day and we found it in the passenger door panel.

So far so good, fingers crossed.

Nope, I may ask them to take a look at it when I bring the car in for service.

This is such a small thing, but for the price of the cars - I just expect better. If you are revving the hell out of it (as intended) maybe you won't hear it but cmon.
