BMW to Unveil Two World Premier Concept Cars During Monterey Car Week.

Media Preview at The BMW Annual Press Conference on Thursday Evening.

Woodcliff Lake, N.J. – July 17, 2015

In celebrating of its 40th anniversary, BMW of North America will unveil two world premier concept cars during its annual press conference at the BMW Villa in Pebble Beach. Public showings later that weekend are planned for The Quail, A Motorsport Gathering, Legends of the Autobahn Concours d’Elegance, Rolex Monterey Motorsport Reunion and Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.

Press Conference speakers will include Ludwig Willisch, President & CEO – BMW of North America LLC., Karim Habib, Director of BMW Design and Dirk Haecker, VP Research and Development – BMW M GmbH.

The concepts will be revealed at BMW's press conference at 6PM on August 13th.

We think that the reveals could be the BMW M2 and/or M4 GTS. Or, perhaps it will be the BMW i8S.

The M4 concept was revealed online 1 day before its live reveal at Pebble Beach.

now that is a performance steering wheel I would pay extra for

although for a DD it could be annoying not having a top and bottom, the flat bottom is a much better option which I am surprised BMW still hasn't made for the M cars.

Based on prior rumors (http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1098214), I would say it's nearly certain one of the cars will be the M4 GTS, which will be near-production just like the original M4 concept was.

M2 could be the other, but I'm wondering if it won't be something a bit more unexpected...

M2 starts production on 11/15/2015. That is about 2 months away from the Pebble Beach "unveil". Tons of production ready mules running around now in different locales, and tons of pics being "taken".

The new 7 will debut at Frankfurt, so they need to keep attention on that as well, but give the M2 the attention it needs and deserves. The M2 is little brother of the M4, so it tagging along with the M4 GTS (M4 has gone to the gym) is only logical.

Concept BMWs are always 95% final. Just look at the M4 concept. It's a production M4 with a splitter and a little bit darker than Austin Yellow paint job.
