Cool news. But I think my ship Glovis Cougar is going to kick Margeurite's ass since it has a head start. Now estimating 7/12-7/13 arrival. They probably won't process cars on the weekend so it may not help me get my M2C any sooner.

Yeah, tracking gets spotty once the ships are far from land, depending on what type of system they are using. I find this unacceptable -- how am I supposed to obsess over the final days of delivery if I can't track the ship? I expect it will be offline for the Atlantic crossing, then come back when it nears the US east coast.
When my 2011 Z4 came over, I was able to get a picture of the ship coming into the Chesapeake Bay, which was kind of cool. Just happened to be a weekday when I was down in that area for work. I'd really like to get out on my boat and see if I can get a pic of the M2's ship when it comes into the Bay, but that would take a lot of planning and a lot of things would have to go right (tides, weather, schedule, etc) for it to work out. Too much hassle to be worth it. |

tracking updates for my ship also seem to have stopped out in the open atlantic. hoping passage is smooth and swift.
I forgot LD was in that scene!

Yep, was expecting it last night but still out of range! Good thing I didn't take a boat ride.
I found out I could have bought 14 days of sat tracking from FleetMon.com for $16, which would have been worth it a couple weeks ago, to give me something to watch. Too late now. All the data suggests the ship is sitting off the coast. I suspect they are waiting for a mooring to open up before they steam up the bay. |
