My 2020 M2C
This is my first M car and 4th BMW. I'm in love! My enduring dream car was always the e46 M3, and this is as close for me as it gets.
I wasn't planning on buying this year as I had a pristine Mineral White '16 M235i that I had put 2 years of work into. I loved the sound of the M Performance exhaust/N55 engine/Dinan intake. I planned on keeping it forever as a daily driver. But a drugged-out loser ran into it and totaled it at 8 am on a Saturday morning while I was in the gym. Worst feeling ever walking back to your beautiful car and seeing parts of it laying in the street. Some good samaratins followed him after he hit my car and ran (ironically, he was driving a brand new 5 series). He was caught. And yes, I am pressing charges for this assault and BMW-battery. I was heartbroken, but then realized M2C time! I originally wanted HS, but could not get the configuration I wanted anywhere. There was one in Seattle, but the price was ridiculous. Unlike most, I love a sunroof and think this car actually looks better with it. It's a joy to have one here in SoCal. I test drove the BSM and it became an additional point of leverage that I had wanted a different color initially, lol. I realized I could do some aesthetically cool stuff with the BSM with the money I was saving. My 2nd BMW was a 330ci in Jet Black. The swirl marks almost made me lose my mind. So here I did Expel Stealth everywhere but the roof, door handles and mirrors where Expel Ultimate was applied. The Stealth mattifying accentuates the beautiful lines of the car and gives depth and dimension, while the Ultimate sections accent the gloss shadowline trim and give the roof a CF look I like (since that was not available until the upcoming M2CS). Followed by ceramic coating including the wheels - which I can't recommend enough. I don't even want to know how hard these wheels would be to clean without it. I never want to clean brake dust from wheels or from under my finger nails again. DCT, Executive Package, blue stitching. It also came with M LED Door projectors, floating wheel caps and a corona virus first aid kit. Some other stuff I've done so far: Slip-lo was included with the PPF. IND front reflector deletes and driver side keyhole delete. Window tinting (I wish I had gone darker and may change it). Coding. (Sounds SO much better with ASD off.) Removed warning stickers from both sun shades - I can't stand looking at those yellow and white eyesores - the Europeans know better. Blue M1, M2 & Stop/Start buttons, which look amazing with the blue trim. I was also able to save the M Performance CF spoiler from the M235i and moved it to the M2C, so I have a little piece of my old car with me. In the future, I'm like to do the M Performance CF diffuser, exhaust with CF tips, and CF winglets. I'm 50/50 on different wheels. I like that these are unique to this car, and I do like them, but they're not my favorite all-time M wheels. I truly enjoy this forum. Thanks for all your great posts that helped as an additional informational resource. Love reading all the posts and looking at everyone's pics and unique personal takes on these cars. Here's a before pic, some shots post-PPF, and at the BMW dealer where I brought it to show my long-time SA and M-enthusiast driving buddy. Can't wait to get to the 1,200 mile service to open it up! |

M logo projected on the ground is one of those things where the little voice in my head says "Oh come on. Who really wants that?" Before an even quieter voice in the back of my head whispers "you do buddy, you want that..."

great story and nicely finished car. I am also a recent m2c club member coming from an m240i. I do agree that the shoes need an upgrade...they don't communicate the aggression that this car otherwise communicates.

Sorry to hear about your M235i, but silver lining and all that...
Looks really good with the stealth wrap. The M LED projectors have been on my list from day one. The car should have come with them stock, IMO. Enjoy and be safe out there.

Lol Moflow - I totally know what you mean. I was worried it was going to be a little much. I installed lighted M performance door sills on my M235i, and it was a really subtle, cool mod. But this M flood light is not so subtle! It also comes with 3 other inserts (I think there's the BMW logo and an M Performance logo) you can change it to. I actually forgot this was on the car until I opened the door at night for the first time. And I kinda love it! It already has lights on the seats, might as well go all in?

I totally hear you. I love the 763 M wheels on the CS. Someday - I have to do the exhaust first. The cow udder and underwhelming sound gotta go.

I don't think the pictures even do it justice! The metallic sparkles in the BSM - you can see it though the stealth, it just looks so beautiful. Ugh, sorry you have to wait for the delivery of your car. That stinks.

Nice. What wheels did you go with on yours? Definitely looking for ideas.
