One might want to ask, do I have a rare build our an undesirable build as no one wanted a car that way? I think about this mostly in terms of a manual car. Many people on the board want one, but less than 10% of licensed divers can drive one, let alone want one. Rare or undesirable? Add that the manual is slower. No manual/ DCT battle here, just a discussion of rarity translating to resale value.

I've had my LBB MT car for almost 6 months now. Soon after I got it I had PPF fitted. The PPF company had another LBB DCT M2 in at the same time.
Since then I have yet to see another M2 in any colour out on the road. |

Yea..I said approximate...based on partial info it seems that LBB is about 50% but looking at dealer inventory it seems the white/less expensive is the one they primary have, here is my guess which adds to 100 based upon everybody's comments and the other thread LBB 49% White 40% Black 6% Grey 5% LOL...but is there a current estimate as of Oct of the total number of M2s made counting 2016/2017 models any guesses? |

I am still sticking with AW. I thought about MG, but white looks better under all conditions in my opinion. I had a dark gray GTI before my current white one, and white can get dirty and still show its lines well in comparison to dark gray. I will be keeping my GTI for winter, bad weather, drives on rough dirt roads in the mountains, but the M2 will be my daily and will definitely get a little dirty from time to time. |

Based on the multiple threads, I think my '16 bsm dct exec is 1 of 53. Built 2/19/16.

Regardless of statistics, it may be more relevant to know how many M2s you already encountered on the road.
Personally I've not had the chance yet to greet a fellow M2 brother/sister on the road.

Timeless perhaps, but in 10 years maybe 2% of licensed drivers can drive it - your pool of eligible drivers is going to go down. I only know when and if I get one, when I trade it the transmission I don't have will be the desirable one! |

FWIW - my friends Audi S4 Avant is 10 year old and has the auto box, he was booting it last night and it was great, not as fast as the M2 box but not as bad as the SMG, the shifts were really good. |
