Ecutek
Yes I've searched.
Really seems like not many people are running Ecutek! Even though it's regarded as one of the best tuning platforms. I think people are just content settling for the ease and end user focus of systems like BM3, MHD and JB4. I've ran BM3 the whole time I've owned my m2 (about 2 years) and it's been great. But now as I really continue to push the envelope of this car and engine I felt it was the smart move to Ecutek and bend calibration. I'm posting this to open the lines of communication between drivers and owners that truly push their cars and want the best. Who out there is running Ecutek? |

Also figured I'd post the firing order here. Also searched for that and couldn't find it. Had to Google.

I'm running ecutek (bendcalibration tuning) it's been amazing so far. I'm using their fuel filter & flex fuel sensor running full E85.
Worth every penny! My car has never been better. We put down 425whp & 435wtq on E50. This was a conservative tune geared towards track & hot weather driving. So far after some hard canyon runs it seems to be running amazing. Weather was about 75 degrees on my last run & my IAT never got above 84 degrees so it seems like we're gonna be adding even more power. Those runs were on E50 (7 gallons of E85) & just recently I made the switch to full E85 which I think the car likes even more. She's been at her all time best with the full E85.

FBO, Dorch stage 2, plugs/coil packs, inlet, etc. I'm on a catless DP w/MPE stock turbo.
Your car should easily hit 500whp+ 500wtq+ esp if you're catless. We had a fellow N55'er with a high flow cat, PS2, stage 1 HPFP put down 500whp, 480wtq alllllll the way to 7k redline (E50). The both of us were on the stock LPFP. That def needs the upgrade to push the car past 500whp on E85.

Yeah I loved my frs, I might buy another one at some point!
I didn't care that it was slow the handling was so good. Then I got a super charger then it was never slow again lol. It was geared towards time attack so I did alot to it.

We're going to be working on a full power tune and a track tune. I track about once a month in socal and want to make sure I can pound out 20-30min sessions without severely overheating. Currently I'm running 50/50 e85/ca91 that I mix in gas cans and pour in the car. I'm excited to see what improves with the custom tuning and being on the forefront of pushing the n55 m2. I feel like this forum goes stagnant with people asking the same questions. I'm a major DIY guy and like to wrench myself. |

That's awesome! I'm in SoCal as well (LA). I'd recommend the full E85, it's my personal fav out of mixing or what not. It runs better & smells better
Also, my car on the stock turbo may or may not be faster than the G80 M3 comp from 2nd gear roll to the end of 4th. I think my lead would've kept gaining imo if it went past that. I'll leave that up to everyone's imagination haha but it wasn't a walk in the park. I'd say 1-2 cars lead for the M2. I do have some magic sauce with my shifting as well. My tuner can vouch for that

I did not do the injectors, I didn't even know they sold injectors to be honest.
We tuned my car on E50 but with the flex fuel sensor it self adjusts to ethanol content. I think with my stock turbo there wasn't any need to do more then one map. We tuned on 91 octane making 390ish whp 406wtq & 425whp 435wtq on E50 I didn't custom tune on full E85 but I'm running it anyways

I did say about 390whp, I forgot the exact number but it's 385whp. This was after a 4-5 hour dyno session. Order goes
Bm3 OTS stage 1 Stock Ecutek pump gas E45 blend E45 custom tune Keep in mind I did ask my tuner to tune conservatively for hot weather/track driving. We're still making adjustments since it can handle a bit more power on ethanol AmuroRay

Below contains my experiences and opinions that I've formed from them:
ECUTek all the way if you're running a custom set-up. They're working towards certain end-user quality of life improvements, but at the start of the build I was thinking: "What good is usability for me if my tuner isn't given the best tool to work off of?" For me on my stage 3 set-up all I wanted out of it was a great running set-up. Find any other Speedtech set-up on the forums or social media and I can guarantee you they're all dealing with misfires, driveability, or other tuning issues. If your goal is to dial in the hardware, then the tune should naturally be your number one priority to get right and all you can do as a user is to try and pick the best tuner using the best tool. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't the most convenient experience to always have my laptop on hand to flash new revisions, but in the end it was worth it. I have had map switching, flex fuel, rolling anti lag, torque by gear, burble adjustment, etc for months now and haven't really found a need for any of the other knick knacks that the other platforms have to offer. Now that other platforms are catching up, I trust that ECUTek has projects in their pipeline that will continue to push the envelope for the platform just as they've always done. For me as a person that wants a great driving car with little issues, ECUTek paired with BendCalibration has never done me wrong on my custom set-up.

I think so yes. I have the stage 3 from bend (whichever was the highest).
Once the e85 map is completed with the revision I'll be on a dynapack dyno to see if the numbers look any better. On the former bm3 e30+ map we put down 445whp & 500wtq on the stock turbo (7gallons of E85) which I believe according to ZM2 might be the fastest stock turbo N55 M2 on the dyno. The only problem was that all my logs from that map looked like dog **** according to everyone as well as the tuner from bm3. He even stated my car was nowhere near "E30" or "E50" even though my flex fuel sensor now shows that 6.5-7 gallons is exactly E45-50 (recommended for the map). It was a headache I no longer deal with *thank God*

I've seen a 435i do it with meth but it wasn't happy imo, it was pushed to the limit and power dropped quick.
