Is tape needed for the CS lip?

I'm finally getting around to installing the CS front lip on my car...

Does anyone know if BMW uses tape in addition to the hardware?

You should use strong 3M VHB tape in addition to hardware.

Cool, TY.
I used 3M 6394 with their recommended adhesive promoter for my rear spoiler. I'll use it for this as well.

The CS did not have tape installed from the factory.

There are so many bolt holes holding this thing on, I wouldn't be surprised.

I'm having trouble finding a template for all of the holes that need to be drilled, and the big chunk you have to remove for the bracket to fit...

So far no luck finding it...

To anyone looking for this answer in the future... If you are using the OEM CS lip, and not a replica... There is no tape needed, and there really isn't any mating surface to put take on... There are just raised posts on the lip where something like 18 screws, bolts, and clips hold it on with bracketed hardware.

If this somehow flys off and explodes onto the road... I'll update the thread.
