New M Performance wheels! 19" Y-spoke 1111M

I have literally just found out about these and I've got zero further information apart from the part numbers and images from ETK & this shop. BMW must've not said a single word; there was no announcement whatsoever upon release in 2021.

BMW M Performance Y-spoke 1111 Magnesite

Factory sizing as all other F8x wheels (excl. F82 GTS). Officially not approved for F82 GTS and F82 CS.

Part numbers for alloy rims:
  • 9x19 ET29: 36 10 9500745
  • 10x19 ET40: 36 10 9500746

Part numbers for summer wheel sets:
  • F80/2/3: 36115A47B65 (255/275 Michelin PSS)
  • F87: 36115A47A67 (245/265 Michelin PSS)

Presumably available at your local BMW dealer, or, e.g., on Schmiedmann.com, baum-bmwshop24.de.

I've seen them, in gold, but hadn't seen the specs or part numbers. Thanks for the info.

Looks like it would be seriously irritating to clean as a winter wheel?

If one collects brake dust for a hobby, these are outstanding "got to haves".

Where did you see them in gold? Very strange for these to be released so late.

I wonder what's with the 1/111 too. Was this supposed to be for an M2 CSL that never got made?

I'll reserve judgement until I see them on a car. They look ok from some angles.

It was on a dark green car in a recent thread, I just can't find it. It had a bunch of videos of the new M2 where everyone was driving it, and they had other press cars and M3/M4 cars there. I saved a pic on my work computer I think. I'll see if I can find it on Friday.

the dual spokes are too close to each other, definitely makes it look weird and probably a pain to clean

It looks like a wheel with the same design hubcap on top.

I was just browsing baum shop and I accidentaly stumbled upon these. Was very surprised seeing them under BMW m2 category.

They look amazing but definitely it would be a great pain to clean them.

Would love to know more stats of them eg. weight.

Another in a long line of heavy, PITA to clean BMW wheels. They are so hit or miss with their wheels, and these are a definite miss for me, just like the 788M. I'm guessing the weight is quite terrible.

BMW feels like they can overcome weight with power and technology like Nissan did with the R35. It's the opposite of the Lotus philosophy, which is better performance via less weight, but it can work. The problem with weight is that you lose feel, and you can't hide it at the limit. Inertia always wins.

FI-R for me.
