Cost estimate of installing Short Shifter Kit (autosolutions)
I recently installed the Ultimate Clutch Pedal, which is awesome and I have the Autosolutions SSK. I was going to install myself but have other priorities at the moment. Does anyone know how many hours a good tech could do it in? Shop rates x hrs gives me my estimate. The shop says they couldn't accurately give me how many hours it will take until they do the install.

Depends where you are, but most shops in the SF Bay Area charged 2.5-3hrs labor to do mine. I paid about $590 out the door just for labor (which isn't cheap).
Let me tell you though that it was single-handedly the most worth-it change I've made. It's day and night compared to stock. |

I reckon the time estimate above is a about right as if u think about it you need to put the car on hoist, remove the exhaust, remove drive shaft, remove gear boot then install new items and reinstall the other bits then a test drive.

UCP + SSK + no CDV = Awesome!
I put the UCP in with Turner alumn. pedals in followed by Autosolution SSK and CDV delete and wow, is it awesome. It turned the car into a proper sports car. Before I feel like I was shifting and clutching a luxury car. Expensive (mainly the SSK install and bleed system after pulling CDV) but totally worth the money!
