At least I can just sit in the car to do this upgrade.

I knew you would - it just wasn’t in the cards for me right now. I’m ready for that review!

Is the gts dct tune any different to the BM3 gts tune? They should be the same right?

They are different. The THOR one feels like it's actually meant for the M2 whereas the BM3 GTS tune has its quirks and definitely does not feel as refined on the N55 M2.

I used Thor and added gts dct. Their dct version of gts runs properly on OG M2. The one that I tried from bm3 works correctly in manual mode only. The auto gts dct on bm3 did not work very well for me.
One thing though on Thor gts auto mode is that it does early shift and hold very low rpms in comfort. Great on fuel probably, but it does seem to lug the engine more. I usually shift in manual anyways so no biggie for me. I just use auto when at the track, haven’t tried either gts tunes at track yet though. It feels aggressive on sport and sport+ in auto but I’m just bombing around on street right now so mild driving.

Agree 100% with comments above.

Tried BM3 gts DCT tune on my m2 and it was not great so switched back to std DCT settings.

My understanding is that OTS DCT tune via BM3 is a generic OEM-seque tune. Many custom tuners via BM3 will map engine (and trans) to give end user a cohesive custom tune that works well.

Thor have been focussed on a dedicated gts tune which integrates seamlessly with m2 n55. It works

Just installed it. Gear changes way better in every mode. Very alert and fast.

One note: burbles in traction are less frequently and less nasty I think... is this possible? Or does the ECU need some time to recalibrate? I drive a lot with my car and I feel this is not something between the ears...

I noticed after Thor upgrade to DCT GTS and MC2 Dynamic that my car have a new fault code.

48002C LDM function High-Level Readiness Break control unit

Anyone else noticed this fault code? I can delete it when I only have ignition on, when I start the car fault code is back.

Any ideas?

Sorry for throwing it here, but does anyone has "scientific" experience that Thor helped them lap faster? I am not interested that much in feelings..

Is Thor actually something for us track rats? I am just thinking aloud here as there is one or two things I could do with that money

Thanks a ton for sharing!

I also have no idea what it could mean.

I just don't think THOR has catered for every type of country/model. Their support is non-existent too.
I find this in another thread, so it's a known issue and I cross my fingers they will find a solution.

I haven't had time to try. I will try to do that. Due to it's not possible to get rid of the fault code I'm not sure it will solve the issue.

I've flash back to stock and the fault code is gone. So this issue is related to Thor is my conclusion. Waiting for answer from Thor support.

For your information I don't have the error code.
